Why do they say it this way?
Why don't they say "Skip Bertman field at Alex Box Stadium"?
That sounds like the correct way. Am I wrong? Does anyone else think it sounds better? I cringe when I hear ole William Franques bellow that out.

Skip wanted to honor the man, Alex Box, by keeping his name first, and Skip's second.
It did sound awkward to me at first, too, but I've grown accustomed to it.

It just doesnt sound right with the larger thing going first. 
I dont see it as a respect thing, at the end of the day you just say the smaller first then the larger IMO.

I don't like the way it sounds either. The syllable emphasis just doesn't work right

I always say "Les Miles Field at Tiger Stadium." Seems like baseball should be the same.
