Whose confidence just increased that our Tigers can and will beat the Florida Gators?

I for one was not impressed by Florida's performance against Tennessee. They remind me of the team that came into Tiger Stadium in 2007 and lost. My confidence just spiked upward for this showdown.

Tennessee has no offensive identity (sound familiar). If they did, they would have beaten Florida by 10.

I thought Florida's offense was pretty vanilla and relied too much on the zone read, with Tebow getting 24 carries or something like that. They're obviously suffering from a lack of deep threat receivers.

I'll be interested to see how our offense attacks their defense. Tennessee's O-line pushed their line around at times. Crompton just sucks and provided no threat through the air. It will be an intriguing game, but overall Florida still has a better team.

I thought Tenn played physical, something that i think LSU has not played with. Both lines need to get physical for 60 minutes. I am concerned about T-Bob at center, as he is getting overmatched thus far.

it was about to be 30-6 as tebow fumbled that ball in UT territory. they were missing deonte thompson for an already thin receiving core. playcalling was shite.

No, I don't see our line pushing theirs around. But if we can have success early mixing up inside running with the option and WR screens (like we have been) we can move the ball on their defense.

this quote concerns me....now I'm not saying Crompton doesn't suck and I sure as hell ain't saying that Jefferson does suck....however, lack of passing threat seems to be a theme with both

I am gaining more confidence in this team. I think LSU will match the intensity that Tenn displayed against FlA. This team can and has won the turnover battle thus far, which is huge going against FLA. MilesCrowton continues to roll out more and more of the playbook every game. That TD pass to Scott as a Fullback is a great play call and the first time it has been called this year. More new plays like that to come. I know this team's offense has a high ceiling, and we aren't even close to seeing yet. We will this year. We will.

Jefferson provides a threat. He's not that accurate on his deep balls (deep balls - balls deep, haha, yeah I'm pretty much 12 years old), but he's been hitting those 10 to 15 yard curls and outs to Tolliver. His passing is coming along, and by the Florida game I expect him to be a threat.... Our offense is much more dynamic than Tennessee's.

Jefferson, after starting 5 games, is light years ahead of Crompton when in pressure situations. Yeah, people can point to some of JJ's early big misses, but he tends to move the chain when push comes to shove. Look at Crompton vs UF and AU last year, then look at what he did vs UCLA and UF this season when he had chances to help his team, he flat out stinks when a game is on the line and UT may have a better D than LSU and Crompton still can't get them over the hump.

UF vs LSU is always going to be a great game. But as for the ut game. There were several reasons that the margine of victory was only 10, but i'll just share a couple. To start with the game wasn't as close as the score. As someone posted earlier, the score was about to be 30-6 before TT fumbled close to the g-line. UT never even wanted to win. They just didn't want to get blown out so they could salvage a moral victory. D Thompson didn' play, so we never threw a pass over 20 yards. We had about six starter suffering from the flu. And believe it or not that UT defense is a handful. But all and all it was a typical hardfought SEC rivalry game. So I wouldn't judge UF by that game alone. Just saying.

Yeah Crompton isn't an SEC QB. He could have completed some passes down the sideline throughout the game if he'd only thrown the ball to the outside shoulder of his WR, but he continuously threw to the inside shoulder where the DB was and had a couple intercepted. From what I have seen from JJ thus far, he knows when to throw it to the inside shoulder and when to hit the outside shoulder. JJ's not perfect every time by any means, but only throwing one pick in over 100+ attempts means you know where to put the ball on a given route. Advantage JJ and LSU.

Anyone who thinks intensty will be a problem is crazy. Tiger Stadium at night vs #1 ranked Florida w/ both teams potentially undefeated and highly ranked. The question is will Florida be able to match our intensity.
