I have to say that they are my second favorite school and football team to root for behind LSU. There are so many hotties on that campus, and the ones that I met are generally nice and easy going.

And they're not quite as anti LSU as LSU fans

tons of scenery at that campus. I have been to 6 continents and many, many Universities. ULL is on the "short list" of the most scenic and Lafayette seems about the same.

That's nice. Tell their fans you're an LSU fan and get back to us.

ULLLL students have no clue as to the "history" of hate ULLLL adult fans have for LSU. I lived there for 15 yrs & have many good friends still there. The typical ULLLL fan detests LSU with a passion beyond the ridiculous. I simply ignore them.

Hey, Hey !... my daughter is one of those 'hotties'... easy boys.

And let me address the ULL/LSU thing... we support both and so do most people in Lafayette. Some LSU fans project their dislike for ULL onto the ULL fans. There are some ULL fans that are a-holes just like any other school. The knife cuts both ways.

My experience with ULL

Student: "Hey, we got a bayou running through campus! We're true Cajuns round here"

Me: "Son, that's a ditch and it smells like Bigfoot took a been burrito dump in your driveway."

Student: "Well....shaa....wuhh?"

most people I know out of lafayette are Lsu fans, & I've practically grew up there. who can seriously take USL football seriously? maybe the baseball success could have instilled some USL pride to the point some can detest Lsu, but it's almost a troll type hate bc how long did USL baseball success last?

If you have been all around the world and ULL is one of the most scenic places you have seen you must be going to the wrong places...

I hear this a lot on here and I strongly disagree. I know the area well and the vast majority of people who are ULLLLLL fans absolutely detest LSU, and can't wait to tell you so.

If you doubt it,The Vermilion ran an article by someone simply saying that one could be a fan of both ULLLLLL and LSU. Read the rage from Lafayette people in the comments that follow from such an innocent suggestion:

I am a die hard LSU fan, as is my family.
But we are also ULL season ticket holders. We support both teams, so do all the people we tailgate with. hell, we missed the 1st quarter of this past weekends ULL game cause we were by the television screaming at LSU while they were playing poorly against FLA.
I have experienced some of the hatred, and it is usually the older fans. For the most part the back and forth is more of a freindly hazing.

This.

Also, I went to LSU, the rest of my family (immediate and extended) went to UL. We take shots at each other but it's in good fun. I went with them to UL's bowl game last year and I cheered for them. It didn't feel sacrilegious. As long as UL isn't playing LSU, I hope they succeed. I grew up in the area and I know that a lot of the hatred is because UL fans think that LSU fans act like they are the only school in the state.

Why? What did we ever do to ULL? . I have heard this from multiple people and I can't understand why. Pretty rediculous if you ask me
