Everyone seems to want either Crowton or Miles gone. Some cases I see people want both gone. I actually dont have a problem with either guy.

Who's truly shocked about the disaster on offense after seeing who they brought in (recruiting) on the offensive side. Charlie and Gordy seem like the only ones in the Media who mention that these guys (Crowton and Miles) are like oil and water.

Why do you....Recruit, Perrilloux, Jefferson, Shepard. Then.. Lee, Garrett, Lee????

Why do you....Recruit, Ridley, Blue, Ware, Hill and Hilliard Then..Murphy, Ford, Gore, Magee.

These are different players for different systems. Why isnt there ONE SYSTEM?? Even our Lineman last year didnt fit into what Miles truly wants to do.

With Miles pretty much coming out stating he influences the offense. Why arent people on him as to why this is?..Forget about Jefferson, Ford, Wildcat, Peterson playing offense and the two coaches being on hot seat.

This is truly the number one question.. Why are you and your Offensive Coordinator not recruiting to one philosphy? I for one would only like that one question answered.

Do you think Jefferson and J.Lee are the same QB? Do you think Shepard and Garrett are the same Qb? Do you think RP and Z.Lee are same QB?

Thats why..

Hmm.

You then go on to make a very hard to follow argument that boils down to Crowton and Miles not being on the same page on anything, even recruiting players.

Which, were I a NegaTiger (I'm not), I'm volley right back at you and tell you that you just made a fantastic case for why we should get rid of both Crowton and Miles.

My advice to you is to begin drinking heavily. It may help you see things more clearly this Saturday.

no, but I don't think I'd put JJ and Shep in the same category either. hell, I'd sooner group JL and JJ, and Ryan ZLee.

but back to your point, both guys have shown they can win with different types of QBs/ offenses. I wish they'd decide on how they want to run this one.

Jefferson and Lee (either one) are more much alike than Jefferson and Shep.

JJ is not a duel threat QB. He is a pro style with some athletic ability. This is why the option (not read) is a failure when called. Also the running back argument is pointless because every system needs a change of pace back. Or were Deuce and Reggie the same kind of back?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but....

1. Weren't JJ and JL 4-star QB recruits, and highly recruited by other universities?

2. In the past few years, hasn't LSU lost OL to other universities, after signing with LSU, quit the program and left?

3. Has this offense improved under Gary Crowton, or gotten worse in the last 2+ years?

4. Has the defense improved under Chavis the last 1+ year(s)?

5. Has the special teams improved in the last few years?

These are questions LSU fans should ask themselves, and then think, "hmmmm... is it the players, the HC, and/or the OC?".

Edit: OH.... and have any of our QBs gotten any better in the past 2+ years? Are they developing? Any improvment???

That has nothing to do with anything. Was Jarett Lee, recruited by West Virginia? Was Jefferson, recruited by Texas Tech? Was Garrett, recruited at Oregon? Was Shepard recruited for QB at Alabama? Was Z Lee recruited at Georgia Tech?

Yes, The Defense has improved under Chavis, cause the kids playing for him fit into his system and he recruits towards it..That makes my point.

JL was a Jimbo recruit and 4*. Chose to honor his commitment to LSU after Jimbo departed. JJ was a 3* most of the way but I think was bumped to a 4* at the end of his senior yr in HS.

I'm not sure it's altogether accurate to say the O has been "under Gary Crowton." Myself and others think after '08 Les severely constrained Crowton's freedom to run the O. GC may "call" the plays but the game plan is Les's. Maybe we can put it like this: Les ripped several chapters out of GC's play book.

More than I could imagine. As difficult as our has been to watch, so has our D become fun to watch.

Very much. Kudos to JoeRob. He really seems to be a ST's genius.

JL was highly recruited by Alabama. My point is, other programs recognized that JJ and JL have a certain amount of abilities.

I don't see improvement. I don't see development. It's not just that "QBs are playing bad"... they aren't improving at all. Call it schemes, system, whatever. You're right.

The bottom line, how I see it, is that Gary Crowton needs to leave LSU and go coach at Country Day High School.

Edit: Now, if it's Les Miles' mucking with the offense, LSU has serious problems for the future unless he removes himself from the offense. I don't know who is really more to blame, Miles or Crowton. Maybe both. Whoever it is needs to either be fired or let his OC do the job.

Right. After watching Bama for 3 years Doesnt Lee fit into what they do? They know what type of Quarterback they want cause they know what they want on offense.

I think LSU needs to go after a proven OC for next year, one that's had success in a major conference, bring him in, and give him freedom to run the offense and take full advantage of the talents LSU has on the offensive side of the ball.

Easier said than done, but it is LSU. I don't see why LSU can't fork out the money to get a really good OC.

I agree he's athletic. What you see in him from destrehan to LSU that shows you he's a pure pocket passer? So lets just say He's a zone read Qb with limited passing skills. Wouldnt a Murphy, Ford, Gore, Magee be suited for his skills?
