The notion of newspapers being embarrassed is anachronistic.
Harris is, unfortuately, a sign of the times...

Sad but true. All about the clicks. If he was fair, unbiased, and presented the facts in a civil and reasonable manner, there wouldnt be an 8 page thread, they wouldn't get web traffic, ad revenue, etc.

I don't think it's necessarily Miles haters. I think there's just some misguided people who think you can get 100 college aged males to somehow never run into trouble if you just shake your finger at them hard enough.

The way you get 85 college aged males to somehow stay out of trouble with the law is to make examples of the ones who think they are above team rules and the law.

Hill needs to go!

I bet Harris did worse things as a student, that is if he went to college which doesn't look like it from his article. He is supposed to report facts but he is acting as the prosecutor, the judge, and the executioner.

perhaps that's why so many people mouth off these days.

Why can't someone get in a fight and learn a damn lesson anymore? This pussified society can't handle a fistfight? jeez. what next? watering down football contact?

How are Sabans 16 arrests this off season going? How many examples is he making? Looks like only 4 so far...

I'm assuming based on that god-awful picture in your sig that you're a buckeye fan. If so, then we'll see if you're singing the same tune when Urban's finest start to take form.

Just remember the number 41...

Alabama hasn't had 16 arrests. The Fulmer Cup is not a tabulation of arrests. It is randomly assigned points based on the nature of the offense. You can probably track down the basis for each point assigned to each team on the list at edsbs.com

naive thinking. one cannot "control" others. behavior is a choice individuals make. if you have children and don't know this, well are sure hoodwinking you.

There are many male students who manage to keep from being arrested during high school and college. It's not really that hard to do even if you cut loose and have some fun.

Exactly ...not Miles fault. These guys aren't 12 either...they know what the future holds for them and the consequences if they get in trouble

If Hill misseds 1,2,4 games, few will notice. Enough talent at the position to make folks forget him for a few games. No matter what he'll be around when mid season hits and depth at the position is needed.

It is when you're a star athlete and a household name. People will try and start shite with you, etc...some teachers at LSU demand more football players and a select few actually try and make it harder for them.

Harris is a Missou alum who has spent a lot of time in low value sports areas. Who gives a shite what he thinks. He is just trying to be "the one who called it"
