As a junior in 2008, LaFell led the Southeastern Conference with 63 receptions and his 929 yards were the second highest total in the league. He also snared eight touchdown receptions, tied for SEC best.

The return of that trio (Lafell, Scott, Black), plus he emergence of freshman quarterback Jordan Jefferson in LSU’s last two games gives the Tigers the potential for one of the most balanced and explosive offenses in the SEC.

Lafell gets less passes and his draft stock falls.

Yes we will be big and strong next year. Might even remind us of the 2006 offense with crowton at the helm.

i have no idea about the equation

He has some eligibility left? He'd make a better DB than WR.

no way rueban gets more passes then lafell. The offense could still split time and have a great showing in the draft next year. Bowe/davis

once again, I think you guys will be expecting way too much out of a true freshman, ala Shepard. (If Randle decides on LSU)

As did I. I thought from the title of the thread that we were going to bitch about Saban screwing up the QB situation during the 2004 season.

To answer the question, Randle probably doesn't get a whole lot of action until midway through the season. Assuming the obvious.

JL is the one responsible for throwing all those passes to BL, so one would think he is in the mix too.

Just saying.

Wrong. LaFell will get at least as much action as in 2008, and likely more. He will be a pre-season All-American and will be a leader and big producer in a vastly improved LSU offense. Toliver and hopefully Randle will draw their share of attention, and as the season unfolds, this will allow LaFell to shine.

Thanks JoJo for doing the right thing for yourself and the Tiger nation !

Whatever. Lafell will get the double which will free Randle or whoever more. Lafell won't get as may passes because of this.

NFL scouts look at more than just stats. Major injury is likely the only thing that would make his stock fall. He will have a lot of opportunities to make his stock go up, regardless of the # of throws he gets. He's making the smarter move IMO.

Exactly, he threw to him when he was opened, single covered, double covered, triple covered. The lee/lafell connection made the pontiac game changing play of the season,,,,the bama game. Lee needs to learn to scan the field and check down.
