What sold Alleva is the fact that he sat on his arse for two months banking on one of two HC candidates to come thru. When it didn't happen, he had no backup plan in place, so he just stuck with O.
THIS is the kind of incompetence in an AD that ought to have him cleaning out and packing up his office yesterday. As long as he runs this athletic department, LSU will have 2nd tier programs at best.

No that's not the point we should never be in this situation, we should have AD that knows how to hire Head Coaches, and a Head Coach that knows how to hire Assistants, we have neither, and recruiting is suffering, we will be back in the 90s before the LSU board wakes up, wait for it its coming.

Perhaps Joe reads the Rant and bought into all the hogwash that LSU recruits itself, anybody with a pulse can win at LSU, Jimbo loves LSU and would coach here for free and deep down in his heart, Herman wants to be at LSU.
shite, if you're dumb enough to believe any of that BS, why have a backup plan.
Orgeron should be given a fair chance to succeed, but it has been a rough couple of weeks.
