Bama will be tough no doubt but the games have been very competitive with Miles at the helm and largely poor quarterback play.
Elling showed progress and should show even more this week with Ole Miss's run D issues. Line moves smaller as the game approaches

It's actually 9. But by Friday it will be 12. It's the Bama way. Same math they use to count championships.

If LSU is going to win that game, the OL and DL will have to show up big time, and the OC has to help his QB by getting the ball out of his hands quickly.

I think if you adjust for competition, USC's defense has been better, but still.... your basic point holds. USC has allowed at least 400 yards in 3 of its 6 Power 5 games and over 5.0 YPP in 4 of 6. Which is decent, but not earth shattering.

Ole Miss has ZERO run defense. They give up 260+ yards per game. I'm taking LSU -6 for my house

Wow! Either you live in a tent, so this would not be a significant bet for you, or you don't know the history of this game in Tiger Stadium. LSU has not beaten OM by more than 7 points in Tiger Stadium in the last 20 years.

We don't beat Bama. Just ain't gonna happen. We haven't tweaked our O that much. We can't. System is in place. Etling is serviceable, but at the end of the day, they'll shut down our run and force a mediocre passing team to win. 6th Bama/LSU sequel.

I hope you're right. But the last few matchups have been huge games. It is big SEC wise but national it's not a huge game like it normally is because of the rankings. Those top 5 matchups made those night games. They've had big games on at 230 this year.

Setting Record fricking straight. Bama doesn't beat an NFL team. This was stupid in 2011, 2012 and it is today.

Look LSU has a chance this weekend to get a win and make a statement. I bet on both. And when Bama comes to town, good luck against this new crew.

Geaux Tigers! Geaux Coach Eaux! And Mike VI is roaring down!

This right here is one of the main keys. Almost every pass we do now is play action and that simply takes too long. Our O line will not hold up that long against bamas front 7. The only play action that can work against them I think will be with Etling in the shotgun faking handoffs and throwing.

10 points looks pretty good.

He's the deal!

LSU being an underdog in Tiger Stadium under the lights is unacceptable!

I don't care how good Alabama is, this is our house and we should always be favored. Am I right? Yes I am !!!!

I am not saying the Vegas line is wrong, I am saying we have to flip the table on this ongoing trend.

Saban can't be that much better than everyone else...

it's getting old ...it's mental...

It's perception which is reality. To change reality we must beat them...no more 4th QTR late losses..

We can beat Bama but it's going to take LSU throwing these teams off and attacking them in a smart way. Have some RPO packages for Brandon Harris in these next few games and see how he does with this new offense. We need to use the entire field and D Smith needs to step up and we need to utilize him much more. Our OL needs to man up for these next few games also. They just have to play with some real attitude and smash those guys. I think we can beat bama by using the TEs and backs in the flats. Then bust them for one down field. Mix in run and passes to the flats. Then have BH run RPOs. I would have BH ready just in case we need him VS Arky and Bama. We can beat these guys we just have to step up as a team and get it done.

The key to beating Alabama will be our offensive time of possession... Alabama will take their shots and they will score, but we can't go three and out too many times and expect our defense to stay on the field all the time

I like our chances

I think their freshman qb gets an awakening in TS. Aranda will confuse the hell out of him. If I'm wrong and a freshman qb beats a veteran LSU football team. I will call Alabama LSU's daddy forever..

7 of Alabama's 11 defensive starters have scored a TD this year.

They can score in bunches though. Their offense is at least as potent as ours.

If you have watched both teams I think -10 is about right. It's not the skill positions but BAMA recruits OL and DL at a different level than anyone else. That has to change if anyone is going to challenge them.

Whatever. Let them speculate, it's their job to do so. Lsu is going to be ready to play when bama comes to town you can take that shite to the bank. Ed orgeron knows that is his ticket to being considered as head coach. Lsu is a different team now and they have new found confidence in themselves, the coaching staff, and the scheme. I would be very worried about thier game against lsu in death vallet if I were them. Can't fricking wait.
