glad you're waxing poetic here but this does nothing to solve the goat fk that is the LSU QB position.

Harris should start, but Les is the coach so who knows what is going to happen.

This is such a stupid statement. Les starts the QB he believes gives the team the best shot to win, period.

In what year do y'all think we might actually have a QB thread in here that doesn't end up having tards debating JL vs JJ?

Also, I'm confident that our QB play will improve, but how the hell does everyone arrive at the conclusion that B Harris has seen the light and is now the real deal?
He's been throwing the ball in 7 on 7 situations and on the side with his receivers. No scrimmages, no coaches around, etc

That's actually damning with faint praise.

C/ATT YDS AVG TD INT QBR

4/7 67 9.6 0 0 22.1

47 of that was to Randle on his last pass of the game. Before that play (which was huge, don't get me wrong) he was 3/6 for 20 yards. He wasn't exactly tearing it up.

I honestly believe the biggest mistake Les made was not hiring a true OC with QB development in his toolbox rather than letting stud run the offense. Neither Lee or JJ would have won on 1-9

This is bullshite gump revisionist history. If LSU utilizes its 2012 game plan or its 2014 game plan of attacking the flats, flashing the tight end and using play action to get openings, they could have easily won that game. Also, if Chavis would have adjusted to take away the tight end from mccarron they win that game. They gave him easy throws early in that game that the wiped out of the game in the 2012 game.

Greg Knowitall McElroy said last night that Jennings should definitely return to the starting role (if his criminal mischief is forgiven). BS

Sure looks like Les is about ready to hand the reins to Harris. If that happens, I hope he never lets them go.

So, there should be no reason he doesn't start this full season, correct? No more of this 2 QB system nonsense. -He can run the offense -He's not injured -He's more physically talented than Jennings -Jennings was arrested and suspended while leading teammates to do something illegal

This isn't a problem in logic, and it's not a trial. You can't "prove" your way to a starting lineup. And there are hundreds of factors - not four - that contribute to deciding who starts.

The coaches are going to pick the best guy. If that is not "your" guy, then that means you were wrong. Simple!

He actually did outside of that one pass. Was atrocious like JJ in the 1st half.

Miles put in Jefferson. In the NCG, Jefferson stunk it up from the very first play until the very last one, playing the entire game.

Everyone discussing this is making the same mistake - debating which QB should have played. We would have lost that game even if we had Tom Brady. Our offensive line was out classed. It was a weakness all year long. The reason for our offensive success was because the defense was so powerful that it broke the other team's spirit.

The talent level on that oline was simply not up to LSU/Alabama standards. We could not run the ball, and we could not protect the passer. You can't even begin to evaluate skill positions under that scenario. As good as LSU was that year, Bama was just a little better. Accept it.

That's absolutely false. Go back and watch LSU's first drive of the second half. Back to back deep throws to Odell Beckham, Jr. He was wide open on both. The first one was well overthrown and he would have easily scored. The second one was extremely poorly thrown, but completed for 19 yards. A good quarterback makes that game 12-7 in the third quarter. The Badger would have done the rest.

Here's the proof.

I can't disagree more strongly with you here. that was one of our best OL in recent yrs. they gave up the fewest sacks/ game in the SEC, and we had the second best rushing yds/ game. they had some slow starts, but eventually mauled ppl on the ground.

hell, that first Bama game they came alive late. but yes, they played terribly the second go round on 1/9, and that IMO was as big a factor - if not bigger - than the ineptitude at QB.
