LSU goes to Kentucky who has the SEC east lead then they go to absolutely horrendous Alabama. Taking 2/3 from Kentucky would be yuge. You can't ever assume sweeps in the SEC but Alabama is 14-22, 2-13. They are shite soup. It would be a massive disappointment for LSU to lose a game to Alabama.

This is LSU's time to make a move in the standings with a pretty difficult end of the schedule with South Carolina, Auburn, and @Mississippi State.

UK is pretty good; definitely not a cakewalk series.

Deichman and Romero are gonna eat at UK. That park is a launchpad for HRs.

Kentucky lost for Missouri tonight so we are only one back to the east leader as well. If Miss state loses to SC tomorrow that puts us one back of everybody but Arky who is leader overall at 11-4. Definitely still plenty of time, I like where this team is at halfway through SEC play considering they have not played nearly there best baseball yet. Get the bats going just a little more consistently with this pitching staff and top rated defense LSU could be dangerous team down the stretch and in postseason.

Great video except for Lyn Rollins' "pucker up" bullshite . I am not as hard on him as some others on here, but that wasn't an original, clever line when he first started using it, and it sure as hell isn't now. Don't know when he first started, but it's at least been 9 years based on that video. That's just sad.

Kentucky is going to make us look like midgets. They have 11 dudes on their roster 6'3 or taller.

Remaining SEC schedule of teams ahead of LSU in West and UK. Remember, top 4 teams get a bye in Hoover.

LSU - UK, Bama, SC, Auburn, State
Arkansas - Auburn, Ole Miss, Tenn, Vandy, A&M
State - Bama, Auburn, A&M, UGA, LSU
Auburn - Arkansas, State, Bama, LSU, Ole Miss
UK - LSU, SC, UGA, Tenn, Florida

Looks to me like everyone has a lay-up left on the schedule (Bama, Tenn, UGA). UK actually has two in UGA and Tenn. There still is a lot of head to head series to be played with top teams in SEC West.

Doesn't Romero only have 1 HR? I like him at DH but he couldn't launch one this weekend with a 15-20 mph wind.

I'd have to give State the schedule edge in the last 15 games. I'm normally not very optimistic about sweeping SEC series, but I said when LSU played UGA that the Tigers needed to sweep that one. I agree with Bama as well.

Don't sleep on the Aggies. They are nine of their last 11 and swept Alabama this weekend. I predict they sweep Tennessee next week and will likely be tied with the Tigers.

Kentucky's left field fence is 10 feet further from home plate than Alex Box, 340 ft vs. 330 ft.

Romero pulls almost all of his home runs so I don't understand why you think he'll "eat at UK" or why their stadium would be a launchpad for him.

Right field for Deichmann I understand because KY's RF line is only 310 feet.

But the air is less dense @ 978' elevation vs 56' in BR...so, maybe that why he is referring to it as a "launching pad"...
Doesn't matter to me how we beat them, as long as we win the series...
