So the Bama bump is legit in regards to recruiting. But coaching is part of it because I am pretty sure we doubled the amount of Wisconsin's 4 and 5 *

'and hes had 31 and 35 yards in his last two against Alabama...your point?'......THIS, and....coachability wasn't addressed in the 'retorts' (sp)....do you think any of 'em would be in the game if they didn't do what general saban says.....and the wisconsin game star comparison retort was spot on !!!

Alabama is full of four and five stars. Recruiting rankings have been statistically correlated to on-field results for decades now. It's better to have a team consisting of four and five stars if you aspire to championships. Your lone exception doesn't prove otherwise.

I am sure that 'Bama's recruiting is completely by the book as well. The book of Saban that is. No way to get #1 class year after year without an illegal edge. None at all. All of you pollyannas can believe what you will, but the statistics say it is impossible.

Totally agree and I am hoping the day comes where something big comes out and they lose everything.

I believe the rankings weigh heavy in skill positions. Normally we have a serviceable O line, but that NFL front embarrassed us. It reminded me of old 80's and 90's Nebraska domination up front

LSU recruits very well too. If Bama fell off the map LSU would often finish 1st recruiting. Does that mean LSU is doing illegal stuff too?

The starts in my opinion are more about the bust probability more so than how good they will be.

Is it just maybe a little possible that success breeds success; that Bama recruits so well because guys want to play for the team they think is best? Cam Robinson said he went there because he thought that was his best route to the NFL.

How many teams recruit OL better than LSU?

Tackle seems to be the hardest to project. If you can't get 5 stars, you recruit guys that can develop - but that takes time. Grimes has had only two classes. Savage and Okeke are both supposed to have NFL potential but both were pretty raw so they're not there yet.

jacob hester was a 2-star.......i think the main ingredient is called motivation and coachability. leave the stars for hollywood !!!

Yep, it was clear our players had no motivation or coach ability in this game seeing as we got blown out and never stood a chance against that Bama team filled with 2 stars...

Oh wait, you're just a dumbass

Well now everyone says Bama gets a recruiting bump just because they are Alabama. So that means all the 4 and 5 star players are not really 4 and 5 star players but just bumped up to make Bama recruiting look better. Or is Bama just recruiting better players. Cant have it both ways.
