LSU is similar to the team it was in the bcsnc game. Saban had a solid game plan that worked and surely will stick to that same plan.

Miles will have to adjust or I look for the same type of frustration.

IMO, him adjusting and defeating will be a great indication of just how good he is.

I love how quickly people go back and forth between "best" and "worst" ever coaching job in a single season.

The players needed to execute that plan are not nearly as great on this year's Alabama defense. They have some serious weaknesses in the secondary.

Bama will stop our inside run game. They have avg giving up less than 80 rushing yards per game and they have two weeks to prepare. If we have the same game plan as Ole Miss we lose. short passes and runs outside are key.

Play dominate defense, make their senior QB shite the bed, and run the ball down their throats?

I'd say if we can pull those three off, Tiger Stadium will be celebrating a big win once again.

We've played twice since then. How about we don't let last year happen again? No turnovers in the redzone would be a start.

Les fixing to go in dry on Bama. Outside of one blowout, they haven't looked that impressive

Using 21-0 as a benchmark is setting the bar a bit low.

Pump the brakes. That team had way more experience on defense.

I thinks it's safe to say our qb'ing and passing game was a bit better in the last 2 than this year. Our offensive philosophy is closer to the bcsnc than the last 2 yrs.

I personally think the LT being out or limited is HUGE. Them trying to rush him back is an indication.

let's not get crazy. if you're comparing styles, maybe. but that team would destroy our present team. that team was one of the greatest teams of all time going by resume' up until the BCSNC. though many forget that.

i feel like too many fans are thinking LSU can re-create the magic it did vs ole miss and that may be true but bama is a better team than ole miss (i'm aware they've played and the result).

LSU has improved since early in the season and so has bama but i feel like fans are setting themselves up for dissappointment. it would be another huge upset if LSU won this game.

Yep, as is Bama. Therefore I think Saban's plan will be the same to stop us

I agree. The OM game took a monumental effort by the defense to keep the game close long enough for LSU's bumbling offense to put 10 on the board. If Miles and co. plan to run the ball 50 times against Bama, then it is likely going to take an even better defensive performance by LSU. They have absolutely improved since the first part of the season, but Miles would be putting a ton of pressure on the defense if that is the offensive gameplan.

To me, this is just another version of 2010 and 2012. LSU tried to be very conservative until they had no other choice but to allow the passing game to make plays. When Miles finally relented, the offense took off. While no one is as good as Cooper, I think overall LSU has better WRs. LSU hasn't asked Jennings to do a lot, and he hasn't done much, but we've seen him rise to the occasion when he absolutely had to make plays. If LSU wants to have any chance in this game, they can't be afraid to rely on their passing game.

Sure it will. LSU doesn't do much to deceive people. They just rely on the fact that they are better at doing what they do than your are doing what you do. Every DC knows what they're going to get when they play LSU. Miss. State's DC said as much last week when asked about the similarities in LSU and Ark. He said that both are power running teams. The difference is that you know whats coming from LSU, while Ark. is more deceptive in their playcalling.

Well Obviously, the key to winning the game is going to be scoring more points than BAMA does...

pointless and asinine.... your post is pointless and asinine.

I think The Chief is aware of the existence of Cooper. I also think he knows that rattling a QB is not only effective, it is fun.

I wonder if anyone filled Cam in on how important third down conversions will be? I am guessing he knows.

If LSU has no real passing game, why would this matter so much...?
