A simply analogy

Who would you bet on to win a fight between Muhammad Ali and Wladimir Klitschko September 5th, 2016? Then why the frick is everyone saying we're running off the best coach in LSU history? People change (or in this case, don't change at all). He hasn't been the same coach since the 2011 title game and everyone who watches the games and not just highlights of the games knows it. I think the guy has been a great ambassador for LSU, but as a football coach, he's done, and he's been done for a while.

I agree. People get better/people get worse.
Sure Les was a pretty good coach at one point. Hes never been great. But hes definitely in the twilight of his career. The longer we wait the worse itll be. Its not like he will get any better

I keep wondering about the "this is a big mistake" people.
What can possibly happen next November that has been worse than THIS November?
BLOWN THE frick OUT on national TV ... not really competitive at all ... got embarrassing late vs. Ole Miss ... three weeks straight vs. SEC-W opponents. PAINFUL to watch for any reasonable person.
Most of the teams on the front half of LSU's Sked .... LSU should beat with ANY coach.
Next November ... LSU would have to lose by a combined score of 152-6 ... for me to maybe say ... "well, maybe we should've kept CLM."
I don't think that's going to happen.
