The inability to distinguish between what you have a right to do and doing what's right is the leading cultural affliction in modern America.

This board is a huge advocate of people having the right to do what they want with their money...except when it comes to watching an LSU game.

Not freedom, just you and your mother's decision not to throw herself down the stairs many years ago.

This argument is so stupid that it barely warrants rebuttal. No one is disputing that you CAN do whatever you please. We're talking about what you SHOULD do. As a ticket holder, you could theoretically come to the LSU game dressed as a dragon, randomly cheer for Oregon State on every second down, read Sylvia Plath poetry during every scoring play, and chant praise to ISIS after punts. You could do this. It is your right. But of course, it would be extraordinarily stupid. And similarly, while you have the freedom to leave early, it's lazy and stupid. And just as you have the right to leave early, I have the right to mock you for being a piggish and bad fan.

What an idiotic question. Allow me to blow it up.
You are free to be a jerk at a tailgate party.. but you shouldn't.
You are free to be a worthless father to your kids.. but you shouldn't.
You are free to not let someone turn into your lane if their prospects of getting out of their driveway are dismal due to traffic.. but you should.

Freedom gives you the right to leave when you want, and it gives me the right to make fun of you for doing so. It's really simple to understand, really.

Except nobody cares about being made fun of for this. Especially by a bunch of old men watching the game at home.

Hope you didn't put a lot of thought into this response. It's on the side of being hysterical and comparing leaving a game early (which people paid for the right to do) to ISIS chants is laughable.

The complainers rarely go to every game and tailgate for 8-10 hours leading up to the game so they really don't know what the frick they are talking about. I have friends that stay the whole game but most get on campus an hour before kickoff and only go to 1 or 2 games a year.

Would you appreciate if I discerned and criticized your opinions and other actions in life? An LSU game is not something elevated to the status of something holy and sacred. It's an event for entertainment. Like going to a movie, a concert, or to a restaurant. Let the patron decide how they want to spend their money, and their time.

Guys, it's just a game. If it's more to you than that, get a fricking life. There's people starving in China, Jamaica, and the US of America. There are people devastated by the 2016 flood. And who leaves early from a GD LSU football game doesn't mean a GD thing unless you're one selfish motherfricker.

Peace out....
