What would you guys think about Doug Pederson as a head coach.. I'm a Calvary alumni so admittedly a little biased since he coached me in high school. However he has Louisiana ties knows how to develop a QB and seems to be having success so far in the NFL.

The current head coach of an NFL team Doug Pederson?

Unlikely to say the least.

ETA: Going from high school coach to an NFL head coach in 8 years is pretty damn impressive.

More likely an NFL coordinator would be a candidate than a head coach.

Michigan had no problem going after a top NFL coach I don't see why it's not a possibility.

That's because there's not a chance in hell he comes here. He's not leaving a big time NFL team to come here

They also went after a Michigan grad who was already going to be looking for a new job that year. He was also previously a college coach.

A. LSU does not have Michigan money

B. Harbaugh went to Michigan and played for Michigan. Pederson may not have even stepped foot on LSU's campus his whole life.

He was largely on his way out in Miami though.

They went after a top NFL coach WHO WAS FIRED, just like Bama did. If Doug Pederson gets fired by Philly after this year, then sure give him a call. But since it's his first year on the job, that seems unlikely.

It's posts like this that make me realize if we do dump Miles I'll need to stay away from the board for a while. The ridiculous posts about coaching candidates are going to be out of control.

Not true I have been on campus with him before. He actually brought me to my first tiger stadium experience.

. So true. LSU fans seem to think we are on par with Alabama or even Michigan.

If DP wasn't a current NFL coach I'd say hell yeah. I know when he was playing at GB, La was still home during the offseason. The dude has played and coached under some of the all time greats. Favre, Holmgren, Reid.

Yeah. If Michigan ever wanted an LSU head coach who was a Michigan alum they'd just take him and there wouldn't be a damned thing we could do about it.
