A full stadium would have crushed the earthquake game:

Seating:
1988: 80k
2017: 102k
Morbid obeisity rate in La:
1988: 11%
2017: 33%
So, a full TS today would have about 40% more total mass. This should make a significant seismic difference.

There was no last second TD pass to victory. How can you compare?

Very well reasoned.

Flynn to Byrd didn't do it.

Nope no way until there's another one there's only one earthquake game. Couldas don't count.

The stadium was much louder in 1988 despite the lower capacity. The fans and students were much more rabid. That is my expert opinion.

Because of new construction.. there will never be another.. and the seismograph is gone.

Pretty sure there's one still sitting right outside of Howe Russell...

Max temp 10/8/88: 73 degrees
Max temp 10/14/17: 91 degrees
1988 fanbase: organic, optimistic.. Anything can happen. Parties in the stadium seats. Blue collar fans etc.
2017 fambase: you OWE us Championships. Corporate seats...

All the young fartknockers on here have no clue what noise is.
Stadium is full of Corporate Snowflake Newbies and Wine & Cheesers now that could care less about LSU and LSU football.
Gotta beat that traffic. We can't be inconvenienced in any way. Don't need to watch TGBFTL either. We outta here!

The waning years of the blue collar fans in Death Valley!

I yelled a lot. Voice still isn't back from the LSU and Saints games.
Also, didn't find it that hot with my long sleeve button down on...maybe it was the whiskey.

This bothers me. Millennial girls are fat because "fat shaming is bad" and now we have dangerously high obesity.
In conclusion, fat shaming leads to healthier eating choices and overall healthier people. Fat shaming is a positive thing. Fat shaming is love.

Only 33% morbid? What's the regular obesity rate for LA? Has to be 65%.
