Your points are about as sharp as Les's offenses.

That's it? That is the best you can do?
Come on, Gerald give us some of that old poli board repartee.

it appears more accurate to say that the vocal minority uses this anonymous board to rant because they know their opinion is not the mainstream opinion of the fanbase.

a lot of different kind of people post here. but the most posts come from those with time to post. they post a lot because they don't have much else to do that is more important. me, i'm retired and have plenty of time. but many are students or young people that have a lot of time because mommy and daddy are paying their bills and don't have to work or raise a family.

many in this segment are fans of fast, high powered offenses and they don't have an allegence to LSU as a university; they are just fans of the LSU football team. this segment is so large on here that it gives the appearance they are the majority. as a marketer, I would want to know more about the demographics before I would advertise.

You wouldn't understand my best so I dumbed it down for you. You are, after all, a Les Miles apologist for an easily discernible reason... you're very much like him.

Forgive my condescension.

Welcome to the 90s Gray. The politicians saved your boy, and that's exactly why LSU football tumbled in the late 80s and early 90s.

1. I don't hate Miles, but I don't believe he is a good coach. He's too stubborn.

2. I want what's best for LSU and to see them succeed. I miss seeing LSU dominating. What's wrong with this? Any ways, I am glad to just win.. but the current philosophy is extremely taxing towards our team and leaves too much to chance. We rely on winning off talent alone.

3. This is your worst argument yet. THE JOB WAS NEVER PUBLICLY OPEN.. LSU could still hire a great coach. They could probably still have a great shot at Chip Kelly if they wanted.

4. I love Miles, but want him gone for the better of our program. I still would have cheered him in reception! Most people are in shock and thought by all the signs he was gone.. We still have appreciation..

- I learned a lot from this. Never believe anything you hear. No matter what. Until it is completely 100% announced and in writing. Never get your hopes up. and I learned this whole situation sucks.

5. I am glad LSU won a game. I am not glad to see LSU drop games to teams like Arkansas and Ole Miss consistently now..

You won, Gray Tiger.

Miles is the LSU coach until he decides to retire. Try not to have a heart attack taking victory laps.

Short notice to get a coach. Likely will be a change in 2017.

UGA publicly parted ways with Richt a few hours ago. Its already being report that they have a deal in place with Tom Herman.

Tom Herman was guy that LSU could get, but the fan base wasn't largely on board with him. TAF should have taken him more seriously if they truly were pursuing change. Any coach that is already established would be considered fool's gold in most cases. In the future, they will need to look someone looking to make a step up, their coaching philosophy, and their expertise either as an offensive or defensive coordinator.

Your belief that you had a majority of the fans on your side was also exposed as a lie by the reception Les got in Tigrer Stadium on Saturday night.

The fans thought he was gone and we're giving him a classy send off, not begging for him to not be fired.

I'm glad Les is staying, old man, so you don't have to go through with your assisted suicide plans.

None of these are truths. They are premises and assumptions, thus fully debatable.

There are some people who want les gone and don't fall into that category.

I want to be able to pass the ball consistently

I want to make adjustments beyond execute better.

I want to see a QB develop.

I want a timeout called on 3 and 3 in the redone when we are scrambling to get a play of, and not with 1 second left in the half.

I am glad we won, but the difference between us being 8-3 and 6-5 this year is Auburn and Miss State taking enormous steps back, rather than us taking a step forward.

This. And, I don't think I've ever called him a moron, he's not. He's just stubborn and set in his ways. I really like the guy but not as much as I dislike 4th in the SEC west.

Politely put, he's the best over the longest period of time LSU has had, but, it is time for a change. By keeping Les around we are delaying the recovery by a year.

3. Another lie is that many coaches would jump at the chance to be the LSU head coach. Why didn't they surface this week?

You think LSU isn't a destination many coaches would love?

quote:

5. The "yes but" fan. LSU won but ................and then follows a qualifier discounting the victory. That negativity is childish at best. You don't play "yes but" with reality. Either LSU won or they lost. If you can't accept the fact of a victory unless you find a way to diminish it, they you are no true fan.
I did the "yes but" early in the season with the lack of offensive variety, and I was proven right, so there's that.

The "true fan" thing is just silly, sounds like you were blinded by your love of LSU and didn't realize we had major offensive issues despite being 7-0. Then when the guys like myself and others who kept warning of the lack of variety will cost us down the road and it actually came to fruition against Bama, you were taken aback, and now you're lashing out at those who did see it coming.
