Who picked Georgia to finish better than 9-3? Richt met expectations. He did not deserve to be fired, imo.

Yeah, well Richt and Miles are not even comparable. You put us in the East, and we're playing in Atlanta 90% of the time. 9-3 and playing in the East, and also they gave him multiple chances. He's been fighting for his job for a decade it seems like.

if we're talking about ancient history, that's not really true. Richt rebuilt UGA into a national power. that's a lot of cache

So just because UGA were a bunch of collective dumbasses we should just follow their lead? UGA should have fired richt a few years ago. But here's the deal with Richt. He could never hire the right DC. His offenses never looked as bad as LSU's. Why? Oh yea, because he coached offense.
Meanwhile our coach who supposedly is an "offensive" guy can't get an offensive guy in here and maintain consistency for not even 2 years. That's why miles gets the hate. He has to have a great DC in here to bail his arse out when his offenses consistently shite the bed with penalties a plenty (embarrassingly one category where Miles wins a conference title). Miles offenses suck dick and are some of the worst in the conference year after year no matter the OC.
So what is your specific cutoff point when you no longer compete for titles? because we are currently on their trajectory.
11 years without a conference title? When do you finally pull the chord and bail out?

Richt has 2 SEC titles and 6 Division Titles.
Miles has 2 SEC Titles and 3 Division Titles with 1 Crystal Ball.
Richt made that program into a football powerhouse and people seem to forget that.
