638 Total offensive yards.... Did we really improve or is TT defense that bad?

Maybe I'm just used to feeling "eh" after an LSU game, but its really hard to argue 56 points and 638 yards. Did we see a slight shift in the way things could be next year? Or is Tech's D really just terrible?? All in all.. not a bad way to end this roller coaster season!!!

Only 247 more days until football season!!!

Texas Tech's D is terrible.

But LSU's offense is also supposed to be terrible.

Apparently LSU's terrible is a lot better than Tech's terrible.

TT was overmatched. Plain and simple.

LSU has 4-5 star players, TT's QB wasn't offered by any other teams to play QB -I heard-

Look at the recruiting class rankings. 2's cant beat 5's

TT is horrible...they give up like 42 points a game...I go into next season with the high expectations for this team with the same people driving the boat...

Gameplan was still pretty bad. But we imposed our will in the running game.

We still dont have a mid range passing game. Its run-run-bomb.
Jet sweep/reverse goes for 80 yards. We dont run anything similar again.
That game plan was no different than anything we saw all year. Its just a much worse D.

We ran a reverse again with Chark later in the game...

Name one school in the SEC other than Miss St that TT QB wouldn't have started for this year and been an upgrade? Dude threw one INT that probably shouldn't have happened although it was well defended.

We had 508 yards against Ole Miss too. Prior to this game, we just had trouble converting those yards into points.

Play calling was good last night but Harris struggled to make the easy throws. He did seem to become more comfortable in the pistol.

The only thing I was disappointed with is Csm's love of Jeter and Moreau on the field together with a FB. They seemed to get away from it in the 2nd half but it was hard to watch for a time.

We need to give our QB more easy throws. Quick outs/stops, WR screens, etc. to get him into a groove throwing the ball.

It was a double reverse vs a misdirection end around.

Just because it got handed off the same guy does not make it a similar play...not even close really. Nice try though.

I enjoy watched a few TT games. Yes TT defense is that bad. On the bright side their offense is very very good.

Texas Tech fired two of it's position coordinators on defense a few weeks ago and didn't have any replacements for them in the bowl game. They had a really bad defense this year.

Both

Their defense was doodoo, but the play calling was better. LSU may have found something with Cam on the sidelines. If everything hinges on the QB, having him there to teach and be a calming force could be the difference maker.
