The guys on local sports radio this morning were talking about how to get Dupre on the field with Dural, Diarse and Quinn playing so well. I think the answer is to just get the TE out of there on a lot of our spread plays - we hardly ever throw to them and in the Wisconsin game the two times we did two separate ones screwed up royally

Having those 4 wideouts on the field at the same time seems like a huge advantage and mismatch creator.

I think those four WRs will be the top four, so it could happen. I wouldn't expect this formation too much.

It is hard to understand the TE issues. I know that Jeter, Logan and Gordon were supposed to be blockers, but Smith was suppose to be one of the best in the country coming out in catching the ball.

The way our oline has looked I expect to keep a TE or HB on field for protection purposes.

I don't want to give up on the TE's just yet. It was the first game, and yeah Smith's drop was horrible but I bet he'd catch anything his way the rest of the year after that.

It's so natural to me to go 4 wide with Dural, Diarse, Quinn and D Smith, but Smith has just been completely invisible and you can't keep Dupre off the field.

I mean...running the one back out of 4 WR sets completely dominates on NCAA 2013

Just run the draw every time. Easy 10-15 yards baw!

For me it comes down to who is more valuable on the field on passing downs, Dupre or Gordon/Dickson/Smith, and I think that's a no brainer.

There will obviously be a back in for pass protection.

And he's not now because he dropped one big pass?

To answer the OP, I think we're best in 3 WR sets with a TE & RB but that doesn't mean you always have to go with Dural, Diarse & Quinn in every 3 WR formation.

Dupre will be a part of some 3 WR sets going forward

Hilliard had most of his success against Wiscy when they spread the D out with a few recs.

They don't need to have four rec's on the field to get Chi out there. They are always swapping rec's out after a couple of plays or just in different situations.

I honestly expect to start seeing him when they need his height even if they only have 2 wrs on the field. Making that TD catch last Sat night shows exactly what I am talking about.

One of our tight ends had a fumble and the other one a drop. It's hardly time to throw in the towel on these guys. They'll get rolling just like the rest of our guys have.

a 4 wide set would be very useful at times. would put more talent on the field and keep the defense honest.

i miss ol Dickson. he would be perfect for this offense.

Watching ten years of Les Miles offense made me throw in the towel on Te. Every year I say this is the year the te breaks out. Never happens. I really got excited when Cameron came in thinking it would finally happen. I'm over it now. Les football means your te is a blocker first and might get a pass targeted once or twice a game. I'm at peace with it now. I prefer this year we bring in Dupree for a 4 wr set and bring in 18 for his badass pass protection in the backfield.
