Not quite. Off the top of my head; Alexander, Mills, Jones and Gordon. Also Ferguson and Keehn are first-teamers on ST. The bigger point to be made is that there are only about a dozen scholarship seniors on the team. Far too much attrition to be consistently high-performance against the SECW, as you stated.

2. Steele
3. Peveto

All rejects hired to run the 3 facets of your team.

How about the lack of devolping any type of qb.....thats your answer
#1 on our list, but it's the recruiting, not the development.

You can't make a Tuna sandwich out of Roast Beef.

You can't develop a one-read Spread QB into a multi-read I-Form QB.

This "Square Peg Round Hole Stuff" is insanity. Why not just recruit a QB that ran I-Form in High School and by-pass the massive learning curve?

He's bringing QB's in here that are not SEC Championship level QB's. They are just not advanced enough in the passing game and will never be "Improved" or "Developed" enough to win the SEC!......................

I honestly don't believe anyone could turn Jefferson or Jennings or Harris into the pro style qb that LSU needs to run the offense they have in place. People say lack of development. I say lack of recruiting the right kind of qb they need for the system they run. Essentially any qb coach would be doomed except on a very rate occasion. These qbs they have been bringing in won't ever likely be NFL caliber qbs...but they could be adequate in the right system.

3) The recruiting pitch that includes: "You can play early and go to the NFL when you're ready." This is crucial - not a single senior in the starting 22 !! It is hard to win tough games with no seniors on the field. I think Miles and company have recruited well - but cannot keep guys around for 4 years. Imagine this team with Beckham and Landry and Kwon Alexander. In my mind, this is Les' biggest problem.

The frick? You do realize that most coaches use this as a pitch.

He lost recruiting battles for two positions in state you cannot lose. LB and OL. In state high profile LB and OL must be the highest priority because the state does not traditionally produce as much there.

I remember this board and the recruiting board clamoring about how good it is for our program to send all these JRs to the NFL. I couldn't do anything but shake my head and move on. It was like a damn cult following after 2011 and 2012 claiming that ignorant shite.

That destroyed us as much as Miles offense did.
As a certain SEC coach 2 states over once said: "Take care of business on the field, and it takes care of everything else". Don't you see?? If we had NFL caliber players, why are we performing so poorly? Doesn't add up. If he's such a great recruiter, why do we have shitty QB's?? Doesn't add up. If we have #1 recruiting classes, why are we performing so poorly?? Doesn't add up.

Whoever the coach is next season will be going in with the 5th best group of OL and LB in the SEC West. Thats not a recipe for success.

Any of those 3 go the other way and he has another natty and we aren't even remotely discussing this.

In 2014, we had already got our arse kicked by Moo St and Auburn, so not really.

Yes...I agree with this.
Miles chooses the type of offense we run. 22 formation most of the time. He has recruited dual threat QBs for years, and then asks them to get under center and drop back. It's the whole square peg/round hole argument. And I'll take it a step further.

We recruit all these stud WRs, and then when it's near NSD or NSD and we have spots to fill, we sign another 3* WR or CB (because we need more CBs, right?). But his system requires a FB and a couple TEs to run. Yet right before the season starts, we're wondering if it's gonna be the walk on FB, or the one converted from another position that's going to lead the way. Why aren't we recruiting stud FBs? We hardly use our WRs...why pick up a Kevin Spears, a Jazz Ferguson, and Trey Quinn for that matter? We have WRs...really good ones. Get a damn FB. So when your walk on (who was playing very well) gets hurt, you have a real FB as a back up. When Dillon Gordon goes out, we need a real blocking tight end to take his spot. We don't have one.

Miles doesn't recruit to his team's identity. Either change identity, or recruit to the one you choose.
