3-4 in conference play this year.....

And all 4 losses in the West. If we drop A&M we will have won 1 game in our division.

...I think what we all are experiencing is something never before seen in College Football....
Arkansas for example hadn't won a conference game in almost two years and we are ranked
#20 in the Power Rankings!! Let that sink in a moment, #20 in the Country and we are last 0-17
Losers in Conf. play.......I am reminded of our 2000 Cotton Bowl, we hadn't played Texas
since joining the SEC. Most of us thought Texas would own us, but we clearly were the better
Team and won, even though we were mediocre in the SEC....
I attribute this just being in the SEC, it makes you eventually a better team......Now however it's jumped to a whole 'nuther level, so my point is, no one has ever seen this before -
this kind of competition....it takes usually 10 days to get back to peak physically after a "war" type game, but in the SEC-west you don't get games where, when you don't have your best stuff you
can win, it's A-game every week....your teams doing well have a Vandy or dogged out Fl. or an early 'tucky, with 4 cupcakes, look at MS, with their best team ever...
while we get ga. mo. from the east...
Is this insane level of comp. sustainable who knows? But when you fire a coach or miss
badly on recruits or have NCAA problems, any wrinkle in your program right now and you
will drop like a rock........we've had 4 coaches in 6 years and missed two recruiting classes...
These things will get you killed in this environment....

Fewer than 14 points scored in 4 SEC games for the first time since 1992. LSU went 2-9. Let that soak in for a mintue.

....you guys don't realize this but that was the best defensive performance by Arkansas since
I KNOW '07, prob. way before......that's not much consolation but after last week vs. Bama
I was surprised LSU put up the fight they did, no one gave up, mistakes hurt you, but LSU has played National Championship runner up, Bama, and an Ole Miss team with one of the saltiest
defenses in the Country, which, unfortunately we will see next week......that will hurt anyone's
Offensive performance.....truthfully this was overall the best Arkansas has played in several years,
and, in the freeze up there - you guys have nothing to be down about, we are all in a
stainless steel meat grinder called SEC-w.....
Trust me, it was way easier defending LSU and Miles than Arkansas and Coach B. before last Saturday...in fact, far easier, it's actually fun compared to staying positive to our situation!
It has been a two year excruciating wait to see Arkansas put a whole game together with
this "power run" game philo. and you guys came in just as the volcano finally exploded.
The DC we got last year has completely turned our defense around, we will have to give
him a big raise...
Right now, everyone here is able breath for a couple days that a heavy weight has lifted
then it's back to the Wars.....you guys will regroup and then I believe beat aTm !!
