So, when do the conference game dates usually get set and released? I'm trying to plan a wedding date and would like this to fall on the bye-date before Bama (assuming thats when the bye will be next year.)

Tried explaining that to my fiance, shes from Tampa and just doesn't understand the dynamic of fall Saturday's in the south. It seems like madness to her...and stepping back a bit, it is silly, but hey...its just the way it is.

if she won't compromise on this, you sure u wanna be marryin this chick?

it's one thing to say she doesn't understand the big fuss... but after u explain it she should be willing to move it to the spring.

why not show her this thread to help her understand how insane it is

Now that you've handed her your pants, all is lost. You'll be antiquing, watching the Oprah network, or holding her purse during day long shopping excursions instead of watching the Tigers. We weep for you Bro.

I just got married Aug 20th

Made sure that it was a couple of weeks before football season that way we could get the wedding and honeymoon out of the way before she loses me till February!

Dude, I'm a wife and mother and I remind my 3 kids (19, 14, 10) that they can get married in the fall during football season but if they do I'm not paying and I'm not going.

Harsh I know. Tough.

I was a Tiger fan before I was a wife and mother.

That said, June is nice ... just move it up. And yes, if you don't you're screwed when your anniversary falls on LSU - Bama or LSU - Auburn or LSU - Florida.

Man, please think this through. There are ways to COMPROMISE and you both need to learn that now. (I can offer this advice after almost 20 yeras of marriage ... with a LATE January wedding!)
