We can see that because 2012 returned almost everyone and we weren't as dominant
We lost off the top of my head:
From the secondary
Mathieu
Claiborne
Brandon Taylor
Ron Brooks
Defensive Line
Brokers
On offense I know we lost Reuben Randle
Don't pretend that we had "everyone coming back"
The secondary was decimated

a down year for Bama
everyone thinks this whenever Bama loses their starting QB to graduation.

We won't know shite after week two, seasons evolve, we will know in November.
We could beat McNeese by 60 and lose to State by 20 and still have a great year

So we lost a dline man, a corner, a safety and a rotating safety. That's most of the defense returning my friend
Lost the top 3 corners, a starting safety, and a very good DT.
The secondary was completely decimated

We can easily lose every game in the west and win every game in the west.
Well I think the word easily is a stretch both ways, winning or losing. Every team has the potential to win or lose every game.
At the start of 2011 few people gave LSU a shot at beating Oregon. No way we could handle their team speed, etc. After that game things turned and we put together one of the best ever regular seasons at LSU. It was said we couldn't go into West Virginia and win in that environment, blah, blah.
I think it matters if the team builds momentum and what their mindset is. Do we have the team to beat anybody? Probably so. Do we know what other teams are going to be yet? Nope. What injuries will be suffered by us or other teams? I think we are good enough to run the table but things have to fall our way for that to happen. Last couple of years, things have not fallen our way.

I honestly don't know what this season holds for us. We can easily lose every game in the west and win every game in the west. That 2011 defense was something special due to Mathieu.
Oh, so you knew before 2011 that Mathieu would have that type of season? And you're basically saying that no one on this team is capable of a breakout performance?
