I know we have put more players in the NFL in the last decade than anyone. The first round guys get all the hype and deservedly so. This is the trend that LSU has to change...

Bama - 14
Florida - 7
LSU - 6
Missouri - 6
USCw - 6

For them to have more than LSU and Florida combined is just ridiculous. We have done very well keeping talent at home considering.

Why since 2009? Because going beyond that ruins your bamasession?

Some fans need to abandon ship and go work for the other team. Almost every thread has a mention of the enemy. Handle business on the field and all is will take care of itself (recruits, draft picks, championships).

How many of those first rounders are collectively considered busts tho?

How far would like me to go back? 2005? Under Miles, we've had 12 first rounders. Happy now? Makes it even harder to swallow.

Who cares about first rounders? Look at the TALENT we're putting in the NFL. Our players have more job security in the NFL than Bama players.

LSU players have played better in the NFL than Bama ones.

Ridley is legit. Ingram and Richardson are fricking terrible.

Patrick Peterson- 'nuff said.
Tyrann Mathieu- unbelievable stats at the halfway mark (49 tackles, 2 ints, 1 forced fumble, 5 pd)

It's not an obsession. Just a fact. In 3 years, Bama has had more 1st round picks than we've had in Miles' tenure. It's about player development.

Who cares? Recruits do. LC, CR did.

If you're looking for quality, Lsu puts those players in the nfl and they continue to produce.

If it's quantity you're going for, as someone already pointed out we send more players to the nfl than anyone.

I can't see the scenario in a recruitment regarding the nfl that those two things don't cover. The promise of a first round pick?

in miles tenure we have had:

Russel - 07
Tyson Jackson - 09
Dorsey - 08
Claiborne - 12
Landry - 07
Brockers - 12
Reid - 13
Bowe - 07
Davis - 07
Addai - 06
Mingo - 13
Peterson - 11

why are you only counting since 09. you're cheating miles out of 4 years of his tenure there.

at some point you have to really appreciate what saban is doing but at the same time realize that saban sets the curve. so if miles is a failure in player development compared to saban, what does that make every other d-1 coach? you know, all the ones thatt don't have as many players as miles??

here is a better question.

How many Bama players are thriving in the NFL right now under his coaching? I know LSU has several stand out players currently.

since 2007, LSU has had 6 top 5 picks, and Alabama has had 2

see how this works?
