I went to that game and it got no higher than 20 degrees that day. I froze my arse off but I wasn't leaving. Walked on the field after the game with the players!

Dude I was there too. It was cold but I promise it was no where near freezing. Most likely low 40's. In 10 years it will be the ice bowl I guess.

Dude! Stop and think when that was! 1995 for God's sake! That was a time when there was no one that did those things back then. The computer was just becoming a tool used for such things by the fan bases in College Football.

Considering that that game had such HUGE impact on whether or not LSU would win the NC that game is locked away in the LSU vaults and it will cost you a small fortune to get a copy.

You are correct it was probably mid 40s. The back to back to back punt and kickoff returns was probably some of the most exciting football I've ever seen. One thing I'll never forget was the announcer on the PA calling some guy out to go to Bossier Medical because his wife was having a baby

If you say it was in the 40's, so be it. I went with 20 people, 18 left at halftime because it was so cold. Then my friend and I spent the rest of the night looking for them all over Shreveport. We thought we were going to have to sleep in the car with no blankets. Game - awesome; postgame - sucked!

I asked my cousin to help remind me how cold it was a few minutes ago and... I was wrong, it was pretty darn cold as you said. Of course he said my mistake was pretty easy since apparantly according to him I dont feel cold like most (must be why my house is usually set on 67). Anyhow I was just curious how cold and found this on bleacher report:
Low temp: 19 Average temp: 33
seems like that would have benefitted Michigan State.

So why is there video on YouTube of '79 LSU vs. USC or Billy Cannon's 50 year old punt return against Ole Miss? Should still be some video out there for this game that can be on the internet.

Yes those temps were for that game. Started at 33 and got down to 19. Making it the coldest game I guess I've ever been to and just didn't know it It was indeed an awesome game, and a packed electric stadium

To Clarify: 95 I Bowl vs Mich St.- was in 30's by end on a clear beautiful day.

97 I Bowl vs ND was the nasty sleet/snow mix drizzle game - had to be in the low 30's by end game.
