Cora had reason to cry. He very nearly got Wilson out at second on a great relay from the outfield.
It was a bang-bang play, to say the least.

People often forget, or don't even know that Brad Wilson (a fifth-year walk-on) was 0-15 for the series before that lead-off double in the 9th. Without him on base, a very different ending may have been written...

This championship game was in the middle of the day, June 8th 1996, I was trying to figure out what time it started
