140,000 Plus Without Power in Florida Right Now

And that number is rising. One problem Gainesville will probably have is no power, maybe for a three days.
The National Weather Service is predicting massive damage to Florida's Atlantic Coast.
Think about how long it has taken for power to be restored when Hurricanes have hit various areas of Louisiana. 3 days to more than a week.
Just go to the Weather Channel or Accu Weather sites and look at the maps.
Gainesville is expected to receive sustained winds of 50 mph. 7 inches of rain. But the biggie is, that power will be lost up and down the coast, including inland cities like Gainesville. The resources to get electricity returned will be overwhelmed.

Oh, yeah, I forgot about that. Tell that to the 140,000 plus who are already without power. They will feel soooo good to know that the hurricane might not reach landfall. But just like a buzz saw, it will shave off some of the coastline.

the power and logistical issues were known well in advance. this was no surprise for anyone...except gator fans, who now all of a sudden are telling us what to expect, which is exactly why we wanted a decision to move the game much earlier in the week
they literally went from oh no we got this to oh no we don't in a matter of minutes

bullshite, gainseville is barely being touched by this. florida is a big fricking place, there was absolutely no reason to call this game.

miami is doing it, SC is doing it, 4 other games are doing it. Why is UF the exception?

And those power outages mainly exist along the coast, gainesville WILL BARELY SEE ANYTHING FROM THIS DAMN STORM
