Definitely since Herschel Walker in 1980.

Not even close.

No disrespect to 14, but Justin Vincent is the answer to this question.

Sorry, I love Tyrann, but he's definitely not the best true freshman in the nation. He's not even the best true freshman in the SEC this year.

Marcus Lattimore is the best freshman in the nation. But, I will say that he's the best that I can remember in the Miles era.

Lattimore gets the vote for D, BUT TM is still an amazing athlete. He is a beast.

Justin Vincent looked pretty towards the end of a season but Tyrann has been waaaay more valuable over the whole shebang.

Vincent did it when it counted and was almost single-handedly responsible for the NC on offense.

You might want to change that to Defensive Freshman, because ever Jugheaded poster on this board will start posting Offensive players.

Saying that Justin Vincent and Dalton Hilliard were better doesn't make you a jughead.

None of the above....but this kid is special! I like his hustle and he seems to have an instinct to the ball. Lots more to come from this one...

Name me a better true freshman on Defense in the last 15 years?

Laron had a good season but wasn't as disruptive as TM.

Justin Vincent was a redshirt freshmen. Laron Landry was the best true freshman at LSU in the last 20 years. Before that, Dalton Hilliard in 82, was the best LSU true freshman in LSU history.

Tyrann M is responsible for likely 8 turnovers this year.
