Saban can do everything Arnsparger accomplished.

Arnsparger can't walk in Saban's shadow.

Holy shite. Miles has 7 of lsu's 16 top 15 finishes since 1965.

Miles also has the only shutout (on the losing end) in BCS history.

I don't know what's funny?? Talented people do not equate to a talented team. Those players were really good, but they weren't gonna carry LSU to a NC. You need good players on both sides of the ball, brah. And Saban didn't have it right then, but he would. Saban was tryin to change the culture of LSU, also. People forget that. LSU had this mediocrity mindset back then that he had to get going into a WIN mindset. And now they are spoiled rotten because of it. lol

But those players made for some really good and entertaining games that gave the FLA's(now that's talented teams)and the SEC fits.

but we good, man! You make good points and I always like you.

Miles and it isn't close. He was committed to our program and was a winner. Miles is stubborn and didn't change his offense. That is what cost him his job

Lsu doesn't have the worst BCS title defeat. Not even close. Hell the very next year Notre Dame was losing 35-0 at the half.

I love how losing in the nation title game is a huge mark against Miles but Saban losing to UAB is just part of the process. It just goes to show how many people just didn't like Miles because he wasn't saban.

C. Miles

Doesn't change a thing about needing to get rid of him now though.

They most certainly do.

It's so telling how you just argument away Saban's underachiveing. Saban had some of the best defensive players to ever where purple and gold on his 2001 team. Chad Lavalais, Marcus spears, Bradie James, trev faulk, Corey webster, Randall gay. Our 2001 roster is easily one of our most talented teams ever and Saban lost 3 games. It's very telling how you defend Saban's losses. Your opinion means nothing just like my opinion means nothing. FACTS prove how talented the offense and DEFENSE was for our early 2000 teams. You just make excuses for Saban's losses with lots of talent and blame Mikes for his. Your bias is showing. I'm using facts to argue and you're using biased opinion.

Exaclty. It's time for a change but it's not debatable which coach was better at lsu.

My guess is that 10 years from now, Gary Patterson is going down as the greatest coach in LSU history.

That won't be easy as Arnsbarger had the best winning percentage, 850.

LMAO

Any single poster that says that Saban was a better coach at LSU than Miles was...LOL. People like to say Saban rebuilt LSU. Dinardo left Saban a TON of talent...I'm talking bigtime future NFL talent. Yet, Saban's second best season in 5 years was a 3 loss season....so four out of five seasons he had 3 losses or more. Conversely Miles had 6 regular seasons with 2 losses or less....out of 11 seasons...and doubled LSU's all time top 5 finishes...with 4 top 5 finishes.....giving LSU 8 in their history.

Saban is a better coach right now...but at LSU, Miles clearly had a better resume. In fact, Miles has a better resume than anyone ever at LSU.

Exaclty. But saying this means you're a Miles lover. It doesn't matter that it's reality.

That list only has 3 NFL starters on it.
