He'll be back next year. Since this was his his first losing season. While many fans are wishful thinking its funny looking at all these fire jj posts that keeps popping up.

He will not be back due to the apathetic attitude that has set in around the program. A 9-win season by itself may not be enough to fire a coach, but it is when coupled with indifference and a lack of a plan.

Exactly! Do we really expect Alleva to organize and pull this transition off. Chances are good that he won't even remove Jones, much less hire a decent replacement.

Do you have proof that Jones is out?

Can you imagine a 2017-18 season with Jones courtside? It's easy if you try.

Well, I'm a grown arse man and know that integrity is doing the right thing-and the right thing to do is shake his hand, thank him for his service to LSU, wish him the best and show him the door. Tell me what's so wrong about that?

The fact that he's alumni should not excuse him from doing a piss poor job. It's a business, not a clubhouse.

Funny enough, I'm sure he has a clause where he cannot resign or else he'll miss out on some big arse buyout. So if he forces them to fire him, where's the integrity in that case?

No reason LSU should not have a top 20 basketball program every year unless the powers that be don't want a distraction from the football program. Seems to me that success in all athletic programs helps all programs.

This is right. We draw from the same talent pool for basketball as we do for football there's no reason we shouldn't have a successful basketball program. If we hire a good coach we will be fine. We hired Brady while on probation and he did a good job for what he was. Since then we've hired bad coaches Johnson and Jones who had very little on their resumes and I'm sure it was done for monitory reasons as well as the buddy hire of Jones. Every hire King and Alleva have made have all been cheap. That's not how you build a winner, nobody is saying break the bank but quality should come first not how much money can we save.

Did you forget who our AD is?
Not even "Snow Peas" Alleva would be that negligent and incompetent as to even entertain thoughts of keeping JJ around.

Jones takes away the crown from Hudson Hallman as being the most dysfunctional HC in LSU Sports history...................

I wonder if the Johnson and Jones hires weren't the result of political correctness gone wild.
