1 vs. 2 - what school are you in?

From what I read on here and listen to on the radio and from the national media, there are two schools of thought.
1. Miles is too conservative with the play calling, running it up the gut. He's too hard-headed and will not divert from that game plan come hell or high water.
2. The game plan is too complicated for our young QB. This school is actually the exact opposite of the first. Folks in this school claim there is no consistency. One play we have 5 wides, which is too complicated for Jefferson, the next we are in the power-I, which is basically a telegraphed play. And on others, K. Williams comes in for the option, which is about the only play we use him for - again, play telegraphed.
I think both of these schools of thought have some truths. The bottom line is there is no real offensive game plan. We try a little of this and a little of that, but it fools no one, as these various plays are all run out of different formations. One formation = one play, another formation = one play, and so on. No one is fooled. Additionally, when the squirrels look up for their sideline instructions, it seems there is debate between Crowten and Miles regarding the play call - again, no real plan, no consistency.
My thought is to simplify the game plan for Jefferson. You guys in school one will say that’s BS and we need to have more plays. Agreed, but have more plays out of fewer formations. Give Jefferson TWO options on each play and no more. Guys, we have the talent and believe it or not they can make some plays. A simpler offensive scheme with fewer options for Jefferson could bring more consistency and create at least a "decent" offense. Unfortunately, Miles is proving he’s not a strong X’s and O’s kind of coach, but we do have two weeks to prepare for Auburn. I’m not giving up and am hoping for the best.

either one is a coaching problem, so do we really need to choose?

So then, are the coaches being too conservative or too complicated for Jefferson?
