Throw it to Quinn then. I bet he learned a lesson from last year and worked on focus in the offseason
Might as well at this point
Dural gets too many balls IMO. I love him, but he's not elite

Tim has been spending too much time in New Jersey.

t was plain and day they were trying to use this game to tune up our passing attack. We came out on fire and then all of a sudden the WRs couldn't catch a damn single ball. We kept trying to force throws and none of them worked. It got to the point where drives stalled out because of it and we were in a damn 8 point game with Eastern Michigan heading into the 4th quarter.
So frankly I'm fine with the coaches from this game. Theyve finally done what everyone wanted and came out gun slinging trying to improve passing. When it doesn't work out like everyone thought because our WRs have stone hands, then it's all of a sudden the coaches fault again.
Exactly.

You morons who bitch can't understand that right now Lsu can win the national title running it 45 times and throwing it 15.....
The problem with those 15 is that execution has to be exponetially higher. Drops can't happen, qb misreads can't happen. It requires an expert level of execution with our formula.
That is LSUs hurdle over the next 9 games.

A guy catches the ball 97% of the time in practice, you don't pull him cause of. Couple of drops. You throw it to him again. And you don't stop throwing it all together. He will come a rounds. Have a little faith in your players .
Dropping the ball is one thing, but showing little to no effort in trying to get the ball is something else. Our guys have had a little of both and it was obvious even to the ESPN announcers tonight who kept talking about it.

with only 15 chances, you have to make them count. Our Wrs haven't figured that out yet.

People just hate hearing the truth. They loaded the box and slowed our offense down. If we aren't able to pass the ball down the road then we are doomed. The first thing these teams will try to do is take what we do best away and that is pound the ball with Fournette. Harris and the receivers need a lot more work.

This is one of the reasons LSU is an NFL factory. We recruit quality athletes and prepare them for the pro game with only 20hrs a week of practice time

Whatever Jarvis and OBJ did in between Metts 2 years is what these guys need to do. Went from couple drops here and there to FANTASTIC receivers
Posted on 10/4/15 at 12:35 am to tigerskin
Screw it I say we go Chark, Quinn, and Ty Johnson to start @ SoCar
Keep the Droppin D's on the bench

This OBJ and Juice spent nights just catching the ball from one another, that is what made them great there work ethic.

Maybe that is what miles was talking about? Personal accountability and work ethic

Some teams practice with a jugs machine and tennis balls. But whatever. So far Tony Ball gets a big fat F. And so does Cameron. No screens, no short 8, 7, 10 yard completions. Just 7 step drops go long. No play action. No isolating backs and speed guys on their linebackers. Dural dropping passes, Diarse dropping passes, Dupree dropping passes. No Quinn, no Chark. It's just mind numbing.

I just didn't see the effort from the receiver. There is no doubt a couple that need to be called out and possibly lose a start and give someone else a shot and see if they will FIGHT for the dang ball and or at least catch it when it hits the in the hands. I haven't watched the game again yet but how many throws were to the TE?
Posted on 10/4/15 at 1:04 am to Jdixon
There was one big TE play but that was it
I don't think harris has the touch yet for the screen, that can be a tough throw. LSU doesn't really have the type of athletes at OL that a great screen game requires, they are average pass blockers at best. Screens require OL that can run in the open field and hit moving targets

Are the coaches completely full of shite about Chark? They raved about him in the spring about his ability and work ethic and then he doesn't see the field even with the worst of WR performances across the board for LSU starters. If this dude is hungry, put him on the field and throw to him.

No reason not to have Dural and Dupree riding the pine after tonight. They'll catch about as many balls from there.
They want to be first string at LSU they better do the work to earn it.
