Think this kid would have a solid future at LSU. I know the competition is tight with DB's but he's a special talent. Anybody have any inside scoop on whether or not he'll stick with his original decision to attend LSU?

He canceled his visit to Texas and has shut down recruiting after his official with LSU this weekend went so well per 247. He's solid. Just worry about Nick Brosette flipping.

Yeah, this sounds like he's all in. Glad to have him.

If Brossette flips, we have Lanard.

Don't we have Lanard regardless?

Lanards in, and so is Nick at the moment. Hope he stays!

For some reason I just don't think Brossette will be a huge loss. He is a solid running back, but he isn't some elite talent. We get solid running backs all the time and have true sophomores in LF and DW and Guice coming in. All 3 are better than Nick IMO.

He seems like a great kid and I would like him to be a part of the class, but I will have no meltdown if he flips.

Lanard

I'm very excited about Lanard but he isn't a standard between-the-tackles running back like Brossette is (at least from what I know and have seen). Brossette shouldn't be put off by LSU signing Lanard, but if he flips, Lanard wouldn't be considered a replacement for his services.

Brossette would be a huge loss for this class and the future. I can't believe some of you can't see how good this kid is.

Brosette is a great RB recruit. Hope he sticks. I think most are taking for granted his abilities because we have LF7 and Guice right now.

I don't even have twitter.

It's just an opinion. I think Brossette is a good RB recruit and would enjoy it if he were a member of this class. We always have good RB recruits though and I don't think he's elite like LF and Guice. I just won't melt if he flips.

Brosette flipping doesn't make a ton of sense

the way we use RB is best for their future. Only super elite RB get that high first round. Otherwise it is platoon position, and it is better to have more tread on your tire vs giving it away for free at college.

I don't think this means I'm taking them for granted. I just won't meltdown about a flip because we have these other guys and we will get good RB recruits every year we want to. He's a good player, no doubt.

I don't think some people can distinguish between me saying I won't melt if he flips and me saying he's a bad player

Yeah i mean the kid plays running back. We always have at minimum 3 running back studs.

While Brossette is certainly someone we don't want to loose and is a bad loss, it is not a disaster if we loose him. Buga nation should carry the load next year with DW and Guice filling spelling him. I would be much more bumbed if we lost Guice as he is a more transcendent talent
