Just saw that movie the other day. Was weird with both Coach O and Nick Saban (as LSU's coach) in the movie.
I think the tutor telling him about the dead bodies under Tennessee's football field did the trick.

Leah Ann Touhy was quoted as saying Oher would have probably gone to LSU had Saban not left. She certainly liked her some Nicky.

y'all do know Orgeron hired Hugh Freeze of Briarcrest Christian, right?
Briarcrest Christian is where Michael Oher went to school.

The Tuohys wanted him to go to Ole Miss, so they fed the OM staff information on how to plan his visit.
He didn't like his visit to Baton Rouge, so even if CNS stayed I don't think he lands Oher.

Sean Tuhoy his adopted father played basketball at Ole Miss.
(I believe he is from New Orleans)
I believe Leigh Ann was a cheerleader.
His best friend, kicker Justin Sparks at Briarcrest was going to Ole Miss. Plus his adopted sister was going to Ole Miss as well.
The Tuhouy's and all of the Briarcrest people did want Oher to go to Ole Miss, but left the decision up to him.
Hugh Freeze was the football coach at Briarcrest. He was hired to be the girls basketball coach at Briarcrest before becoming head football coach. Coach O did hire Freeze to the Ole Miss staff when Oher committed. Freeze's first year he was basically O's assistant. I think Freeze impressed O with his strong work ethic, especially in regards to recruiting.
The movie had nothing to do it. He was steered to Ole Miss by the people in his life.
I know Miles visited because I talked to Sean Tuhoy about it. He told me Michael really liked Miles as did the Tuhoy's. But at the end of the day, they were Ole Miss people, and that is where Oher chose to play.
Btw, the movie is about 80% embellished from the real story.
