I am surprised LSU ever beat out UGA and UF. He would have gone to UF but I guess he was not high enough on their board.

I guess it really isn't that weird since he was so close to picking Georgia in the first place. Hey, at least we won't have 16 scholly wide receivers next year 
. J/k I really wish we could have kept him. Does anybody think this sheds a little more light on where we stand with our other receivers that we are after? Or am I over thinking this?

Maybe this can lend a spot for a CM or Senitimore. I think we get Debose anyway.

This is not that big of a loss. We have some a lot better then him already here plus the ones coming in. The 2010 class will have one of the best slot guys in the nation in it.

This isn't surprising to be honest. I think the people here that follow recruiting was probably as close to expecting it without actually expecting it. If you kinda get what I'm saying.

Hes down to UGA and LSU and suprises everyone picking LSU. Weeks later he commtis to UGA. Something went on behind the scenes with either UGA or LSU on this one.
Maybe we can finish with Randle, Dubose and finally get benton on campus. That would prolly be the best WR class in school history.

Actually Wooten is a very good player and this year he is lighting it up. Dont act like it is not a loss, every team would love to have a player of his capabilities on their roster. The only way it would not be a loss is if LSU brings in other highly touted Receivers this year, or uses his spot for a blue chip prospect at another position who would otherwise have been left out of this class.

I'm not sure what the UGA recruiting site writers are telling their subscribers, but I have seen multiple UGA fans say that it now looks like Debose will come to LSU now. I hope there is something concrete behind them saying that because I know Debose visited there this past weekend.

I agree with that. That would be a sick group of wrs. Were he and Kenny Bell the same type of wide receivers? smaller, quicker, slot type guys?

Has Dubose named a top 3? If we finish the season strong I think we land Dubose.

I did not think he would stick either. I do think it is dirty to not tell the LSU coaches you are taking the trip, or atleast decommitting before giving your pledge to UGA.

They have some similarities. Some have said Bell > Wooten, but I just think the way Wooten was going against top notch Fla. competition made him a can't miss weapon.

Have not seen either play, but Bell seems to be more of a straight line speed guy. Prolly faster than Wooten. Wooten has better moves and athleticism.

I just don't see Debose leaving Florida for some reason. I remember someone saying he gave LSU fans the Gator Chomp at one of his highschool games or seomthing, and if he is a big UF fan it would be very stupid of UF to not show him alot of love. I see us finishing with Bell,Randle and Benton....and not complaining about it. Wooten would have been nice, but good luck to him at UGA

That would be great news if true. I wouldn't mind this loss at all if we were able to add Debose and still have Wooten's scholly for another position. You saying he visited UGA this past weekend?
