Why did Jerrard Randall sour on Oregon?

Other way around. They stopped calling him, and didn't sent a LOI.

Why would they not continue to pursue him....something must have factored into it. Grades, baggage or another qb recruit

Just heard from Ducks fans that they had a couple qb they had verbals from and decided to cut ties with Randall because they thought he had the least chance to get his grades in order of the qb's they had commitments from. Got this from the main board on rivals

how many QBs were they in on?

One of their QB commits decommitted in November and switched to aTm and he was the First Team Parade All-American last year.

He's a bit undersized but has all the other tangibles and intangibles

The staff did lose Manziel to A&M as mentioned earlier but academic concerns combined with being very high on Marcus Mariotta probably had the staff thinking twice about JR. Having said that, I also wonder if they got nervous over the circumstances surrounding his suspension.

I think Oregon got impatient and just signed a full class. Luckily for Randall, he's talented enough to still have options after signing day.
