Yep. It's official now. #LSU has granted PG Corban Collins his release. Collins played only one year for the Tigers.

Assuming Malik Morgan returns, #LSU now has one open scholarship for 2013-14. Three names are on the board. Head to TSD to learn more.

Kyle Vinales (transfer) and the PG/SG from Cali are still in play I think.

the turkish kid was kirby's target so that may no longer be an option. i guess onwuasor (solid player) or vinales ar ethe other two. as much as i like onwuasor i think i'd rather take vinales, let him sit out a year and slot into andre stringer's role as a bench scorer next season.

Vinales will want to start where ever he goes he averaged 21 ppg. I like Onswulaer though, and think he fits better into the team than Er. Could play immediately and if we have an jury God forbid need a guard that can step up.

Pretty sure it was announced recently Vinales was staying put.
Efforting a link right now

@ManthonyCourant: Kyle Vinales will remain at Central Connecticut. He had announced he was transferring but instead will return for junior year in 2013-14.

Andre and Shavon will be the only two seniors on the season next year, iirc. You'd expect JOB to be gone unless he has a down season which I can't see that happening. Also chance that we have a one and done with Martin or Mickey.

2 guaranteed, I'd expect 3 and there's a chance for 4.

ETA: Of course, you can have transfers and other disqualifications for scholarships opening up. Hope that doesn't happen though.

I hope so, I think that guy could end up being better than Martin in the end.

I don't think he will be either, but with basketball recruits you never know. I mean look at what Tyrus did his first year playing here. I know he had a redshirt year, but still no one would have ever guessed he'd leave and be a lottery pick after one year playing.

I agree.

2 leaving = 100% (Stringer, Coleman)
3 leaving = 80-90% (Stringer, Coleman, JOB III or Martin or transfer)
4 leaving = 50-60% (Stringer, Coleman, JOB III, Martin or transfer)
5+ leaving = <50% (Stringer, Coleman, JOB III, Martin, transfer[s])
