i don't love the guy.. but when a coach can sit down in your living room and not just talk about LSU, but name drop Brees, Rivers, Gates, Tomlinson... Steve Smith, Joe Flacco... etc etc... it matters.

His area is Baton Rouge and the surrounding cities/parishes.
So, those kids and he was heavily involved in Harris.
Most don't know this, but coordinators are not primary recruiters at most schools. They don't have as much time as position coaches and have worked themselves high enough to where that it is not necessary. Orgeron, Wilson, Ball, Raymond, BDP, Thomas and others are the recruiters. I believe Frank picks up most of the offensive talent in this state.

I would argue that this is what i would want. Of course they should give the position coaches a guideline of the type of player they want but the coaches go out and get them and coordinator/head coach comes in at the end and closes. Most cases the players are going to be spending way more time with the position coaches anyway.
