I think it's typically a senior. If so, I'd say Diarse. If not, Quinn had by far the best season in the state.

Diarse

Combo of name recognition and actual production

Should be an easy decision

What I'm saying is that he is more of a body of work guy. Not many in our states high school history have led his team 4yrs like he has. Is he the best pure football player in the state, yes, does he have the best stats, probably not

I think it would have to be a toss up between Diarse and Fournette.

How many yards did Fournette finish with? Nola has him at 976 for the regular season. If thats accurate, I doubt he is in contention. Im thinking Diarse, but im guessing you have to look at Trey Quinn and Speedy Noil if you are considering juniors.

I believe this award is much like the Heisman, the voters are reluctant to give it to underclassman. I think it has always gone to a senior?

Funny you say that. Damian Williams has

And he actually got the hardware this year.

I think it will be Fournette. I don't think 900 yards is accurate Daryl

Damian Williams went to 2 title games and went 1-1. Diarse went to 3 and went 2-1. In the loss he shined and was MVP. If it goes to Williams over Diarse it shows the Southern bias. There are only 2 voters from the North vs 10 in the South. So that being said, it wouldn't surprise me if Williams won it. Out of all classes Quinn had by far the best season. He caught 110+, 2100+, 26 TDs. That's one of the greatest seasons ever.

So they both have 1 win and Williams' came in the year the award is actually presented. It would be Biased though?
