I don't mean if we are blowing out TCU and they get back up work. I mean who will see a starting role week one or decent playing time from our first game vs TCU.

No Les doesn't start freshmen comments please.

Herron might get in the DE rotation that early as well

I definitely think at least one of the DEs will play day 1.

who would you compare this guy to

is he a Patrick Peterson, tyrann mathieu, Mo Claiborne, or some other guy in the past.

I know this guy shined in some of the recruiting games but I couldn't tell what kinda of CB he is.

Tre' White is going to play early.

Herron is an interesting one because he could probably see the field early in the DE rotation, but I think he'll eventually grow into a really nice defensive tackle. They may well redshirt him and give him a year to get his body right for DT.

Greg Gilmore will probably see the field too.

Kendell Beckwith is physically ready to play as a linebacker most places but he's a little large for what Chavis likes so that might have him redshirt to get ready for DE

we lost so many from this last team I'd imagine a bunch will rotate in. Maybe not 16 like last year, but a handful.

Kinda looks like Mo Claiborne

but does his skill set line up with what Mo's was?

Not sure who I'd compare him to..he's not a Peterson, because Peterson was a freak (at his size, to do the things he can do is scary)

Probably comparable to Claiborne, I guess. Smooth, athletic, good cover guy.

I saw the current picture of Mo and compared it and it wasn't a striking resemblance but that was the first thought that came to my head.

White, Desean Smith, Gilmore, Herron, possibly Brazil as he's got pure speed to make a play somewhere, and Leslie if he makes the grades

What about Jeryl Brazil returning punts and kicks with that speed. In a first game he is hard to plan for if a coaching staff hasn't seen much of him.

The common thread here is it looks like OBJ is going to get squeezed out at WR and at kick returner. My main concern is having a true deep threat, but since Mett overthrows everyone that may not matter. My guess is CLM needs to see what the O-line can do before any of this is decided. If they don't protect better this year, then we will have a short passing game and a NC will probably not happen.

Brazil will be returning kicks IMO. If Landry can establish himself as a go to guy this will help the younguns.
