Army All-American game I think?
eta: That game is 1/7 so LSU could really put people on notice that week by shutting down the Heisman trophy winner and then getting adding to it's already top 5 recruiting class. Akers and then Wilson would add 2 more 5 stars and likely put LSU in the top 3 at that point.

quote:as far as Cam goes, a huge game from Guice would help tremendously as well. and that will not be easy; UL has the number 11 ranked rush D in yards per game, number 4 in yards per play, and number 19 in the S&P+.

I always wonder about teams like this: are they that good against the run or is it that they scored so much teams had to play catch up a lot and didn't run the ball much?

An OSU Mod on 247 still thinks he signs with LSU.

I thought he was an FSU lock at this point?

OM is confident too.
Kid has been pretty quiet. I think the CBs to FSU was an avalanche of people just trying to hop on somewhere.

... Against the ACC. Next please.

OM board on 247 is really confident. We areally #3. If only we hired an OC sooner.

He's not going to ole miss haha

As opposed to Ole Miss who just fired their OC and hired an FCS coach? Give me a fricking break he's not touching ole miss.

He is not going to Ole Miss. That ship sailed. LSU FSU battle. FSU leads.

With the possible sanctions looming, I just can't see Ole Miss being in the picture

Cook had 54 on 16 against them. Let's double that and show Ackers

Akers will get snaps next year at LSU
O and Juluke have to be telling him that?

Ole Miss is out of the picture and that is from OM booster in Jackson who knows his family. He said Akers in more than likely coming to LSU because of proximity and that his family had some concerns with FlaSt.

This is what keeps me optimistic about Akers. Tallahassee is a long way away from where he lives. Baton Rouge is a couple hours. I think he's a tiger when it's all said and done.

In FSU's matchups against Ole Miss, Louisville, North Carolina, Miami, Wake Forest, Clemson, NC State, and Florida; the opposition outscored Jimbo's team 133 to 77 in the first halves of play causing them to heavily rely on the passing game to crawl back in the game.
In comparison, LSU is rarely trailing after the first half and can continue focusing on the run game.
LSU has built itself around a strong defense and an imposing run game. FSU has done a good job with their run game but it's just not where their strength is nor is it a strong emphasis of a Jimbo Fisher offense. Hopefully Cam is licking his chops at the opportunity to be the best running back in the nation, which LSU has done the groundwork for that to take place, especially with the new OC.
