I see that Justin Thomas DE & Neil Farrell DT out of Alabama are sum pretty good size boys that have a verbal to LSU. Haven't heard much about them. Has anyone seen much film on them to know if they will be significant contributors to our defensive line next season? And if anyone has seen film on them please enlighten us on the pros and cons of each player?

Thomas had a disruption or two in the MS-AL game, but Farrell was outstanding. Definitely the most dominant defender in that particular game.

Hopefully they stay committed if Dameyune Craig takes the Oregon OC job

They looked great in the Al-Ms all star game.

Craig has a $600K buyout. Idk if Taggart I'd willing to pay that and a luring salary to Craigs when he's (Taggart) the one calling the plays anyway.

I would be very surprised if they saw the field in '17. Both will likely redshirt.

Not a knock on either of them just, too much talent all ready ahead of them.

600K buyout is nothing for Oregon

I live in Daphne, AL which is a sister city to Spanish Fort. I-10 divides the two cities. I think both players will take a redshirt. That's not a knock it's just a position where we have some quality depth there. Mobile area and the Baldwin County schools is an area we need to continue to recruit hard. There is a lot of good talent here and other schools like USCw, Arizona, Florida and FSU work this area hard. Bama and Auburn recruit our state hard and we need to do the same. Sometimes great recruits just want to go to school out of state and we need to be in on those type of players.

Shea said this morning that he wouldn't be surprised if Farrell lands somewhere else. Sure hope that is not the case.

Oregon has the money trust me. Knight will shell out the dough if needed.

As long as Saban takes LA recruits it's a must that LSU recruit Mobile AL to offset that. Mobile has really good players and distance wise to LSU is nothing for those prospects.

Presence in Houston area just as big.

I agree. Takes me roughly 3 hours to get to Baton Rouge. About the same or a little longer to get to UA or AU.
