What would Louisiana Football classes look like if not for Katrina?

It's crazy to think about the amount of talent SE Louisiana lost, you see all these Texas recruits saying they are from LA and it's crazy. It just shows how rich in talent LA is and why LSU will always compete

LA is probably tops in the country talent wise for football if not for Florida. But per capita they are tops!

just something in the swamps there!

We lost out on Voodoo Tatum. Set us back a few years at QB for sure.

I don't think football would have looked that different. But the basketball team would have been much different IMO.

Probably not. LSU has had very little success recruiting New Orleans basketball players over the years, regardless of who was coaching. The only big name recruits from there were Randy Livingston , Jordy Hultberg and Torris Bright if you include Slidell.

At least they're, originally, from here and still have ties to the state and most likely still have family here which I'm sure helps out in the recruiting or these kids. I'm just glad they're still able to play ball after suffering such a devastating loss.
