according to scout he is visiting Tulane next weekend but it looks like he will remain solid to Texas A&M after his visit there.

The coaches decided they liked Thomas, Raymond, and Mills more.

IMO, Monroe is better than Raymond or Mills. He seems faster, more fluid and smooth in the hips, and better in coverage. I really wish LSU would get Monroe in this class especially since we are going to have plenty of spots to fill; its not like we have too many top recruits and too few slots. However, I think that ship has sailed as we never really pursued him.

The coaches just didn't like him at cb over the guys we have. All camped at LSU and Mills in particular beat out Monroe for the offer. Monroe was basically begging for an offer this summer but it just didn't happen. I like Monroe as an athlete but I'm ok with taking Mills over him. I don't agree at all that Monroe is better than Raymond. Raymond is very likely the best athlete in our class at any position. Huge upside with that kid. After finally getting some film out he flew up rankings lists this year. Went from unknown to 4* and top 250 everywhere but Rivals. I just don't think they have ever revaluated him. Even the worst talent evaluator can see that he is better than a 5.5 3*. That's just ludicrous. As for Monroe I would have no problem if the coaches offered him late. He's a talented kid for sure.

From what I heard (and who really knows) the coaches thought Mills was more physical and liked his potential against the run. I agree that Raymond does indeed possess good athleticism; he is just very raw. Monroe just seems to be more natural and polished at cb and his coverage skills were impressive to me.

I would expect to start seeing a ton of river parish athletes stay in state and play for Tulane over the next couple of years.

Jordan Batiste decommitted from Ole Miss and now committed to Tulane.

D Bo may do the same. We will see
