I recall State fans shitting their pants when Jones hired Robert Kirby because of his deep Mississippi ties. Any word on his early favorites? It sure would be nice to make him and Ben Simmons a package deal. Also, I think there's a 5* from Jordan Mickey's school in the 2015 class too.

Let me dream

Will know more after this summer where he stands but right it looks like both MS schools have put all of their eggs in this one basket, I have heard that OM would send different boosters to every Calloway game just to be seen in attendance. I dont think we could get him and I think he winds up going to one of the big boys either UNC or Kentucky. He will be the top player taken in the 2017 NBA draft. Also if we get Exum, I think Simmons is a lock.

Sounds about right.

Obviously he wouldn't sign with us now, but I am hoping next year's team makes a lot of noise and generates a lot of buzz. Maybe he wants to stay close to home? We'll be far ahead of State and Ole Miss in two seasons, and with Robert Kirby I can't help but tell myself we'll be in the discussion by next year

Newman is the truth

Saw him play in the 5A state tournament in Jackson. Looks and has the body of an 18-year-old.

Has killer quickness, can get to the rack with ease, can shoot it from outside and plays with a ton of confidence.

If he grows a bit to around 6-6 and can still handle it, he'll be the No. 1 overall pick in 2017 as a shooting guard.

One thing to note is Callaway just lost its coach Wayne Brent to Jackson State. Brent helped former Callaway stud Deville Smith get to Mississippi State. Lasted a year before going JUCO and now has committed to UNLV.

Not sure if the now sour relationship with the Cowbells will have any affect on Callaway, but I doubt it matters. I can't imagine Mississippi State or Ole Miss have a chance. This kid is a Duke, Kentucky, UNC, UCLA, Florida, Texas, type-recruit
