I know there is great appeal playing for Saban and the Bama tradition.

But surely recruits consider many things, including the city where they will spend the next three to five years of their lives.

I have only been there one time and just had an hour to visit the campus, so please share what if any, appeal there is for a college athlete to live in Tuscaloosa. Thanks.

I mean, have you seen Baton Rouge?

By this logic why isnt Hawaii an unstoppable football force?

You have no idea of how far down the list that is for most recruits.

Some recruits say it's a "business decision" to go to bama.

WTF does that mean? They get paid more to go to bama over other colleges?

If you are talented it doesn't matter if you go to bama or SLU. You'll get paid the same amount in the NFL for the same level of talent. I hate the "business decision" excuse. It makes no sense.

exposure is a big deal. Bama guarantees the most exposure

More nonsense
Business Decision = which program can help me get better to make it to the NFL. LSU has recruited plenty of highly rated QBs - which of those kids actually GOT BETTER at LSU? not nobody. Eventually that catches on.

If I was LB I would 100% commit to Bama. If I was a DB I'd 100% commit to LSU. Thats a business decision.

This is a valid argument however the same argument can be made for 10-15 other schools.

LSU has more NFL players than bama.

Met.

Lee got better and you can argue that his ceiling is/was not very high to become an NFL QB. Russel played great in college and obviously sucked in the NFL. Jordan got better but he's another player with a low ceiling. It can even be argued that Etling has improved but is also not NFL caliber.

Why? Because they do better in the NFL? Well they don't.

diplomatic immunity in Ouachita parish.
getting players to the nfl (apparently, the only school to accomplish such).
free potted meat for life.

What was each one's draft position? Lot of money between 1st, 2nd and free agents.
