WBB recruiting question...

I just noticed on NOLA.com that this #1 GHSBB center recruit from Salmen (Brown) doesn't even have LSU on her list? WTF are we paying Caldwell? She can't even land an in-state top player? How many does Louisiana ever get. Simone Augustus was the only one I remember. Whatever her salary is, it's too much.

That's terrible if true. The girl has been the top prospect in her class for a while now.
Granted, it's been long speculated she's a Baylor lock since her dad played BBall at Tech when Mulkey was there. But still, we should be recruiting the shite out of her.

Our teams play against her every year, and I'm shocked she has offers from someof these programs. Geno saw her first hand and left without offering.

I'd obviously take her at LSU but I agree she isn't a program changer like she was earlier thought to be. She'll be good and eventually all-conference but she's not Fowles good.

Caldwell wants to load up on 5-11 and 6-1 players and try and out-athlete you and play pressure defense. There's a reason they're selected to finish seventh in the SEC this season. Not much of an inside game with the loss of Plaisance and McKinney.

Caldwell is allergic to out-recruiting her adversaries...she'll probably have to become the Alpha Vol before she gets it in gear.
IMO...she does not have any pressure to compete on the recruiting trails and her results bear it out.
If our AD is good with paying her an unconscionable salary, then accept what she has delivered, why should she be "beating the bushes." On the other hand it may be that we had to many "hands on the bushes" before.

Ayanna Mitchell 6'1'' F out of Georgia is committed, not sure if she's signing tomorrow. Consensus top 75 player, seen her ranked as high as #34.
