Toliver is great but I fear he will suffer the commit too early to be #1 overall treatment. For instance didn't Ed Paris start as a top 10 player?

Ed Parris was #12 or #13 tops I believe.

I don't think Toliver will stick at #1 Overall..sucks, doesn't mean he is any worse, but it's a solid sales pitch/brag pitch to have.

Not if you go by his listed numbers, unless they just haven't been updated

damn, only 3 players from LA in the top 300 and 2 are rbs. I still find it funny people think it is so easy to recruit at LSU when majority of top players come from another states.

GA, CA, TX, VA, OH, FL, MD, the Carolinas all have more top prospects. AZ has 3. HI, MS, AL, NV, IL and MI all have 2. LA does not have one prospect rated as high as the highest rated player in HAWAII.

2015 is really wide open, way more than 2014 was initially.

247 Ranking of Canton Kaumatule, #1
Scouts Ranking of Canton Kaumatule, #26
ESPNs Ranking of Canton Kaumatule, #49
Rivals Ranking of Canton Kaumatule, NOT in top 100

247 Ranking of Terry Beckner Jr, #2
Scouts Ranking of Terry Beckner Jr, #73
ESPNs Ranking of Terry Beckner Jr, #9
Rivals Ranking of Terry Beckner Jr, #23

This tells me none of the sites know shite about the prospects yet.

Well..yeah

They'll eventually even out as the year progresses. Until recently, they were doing these rankings in like Feb/March, a year before they signed. Now these rankings are coming out 18 months before they sign.

247 relies much more on upside than most sites so their rankings skew a bit. The initial reason I went with 247s rankings is because in their 1st year they ranked Dhaquille Williams when he was a Sr in high school. No other site even mentioned him. Told me they actually went out and scouted kids. Plus my buddy Barton is over there. Best thing to ever happen for LA kids on a national level.

247 is all about upside...they rate you based on nfl potential not how good you currently are.
