Devin Voorhies not getting any love... Overrated or underrated? I love his highlight video!

don't know where voorhies should be ranked but top 50 seemed a little rich.

Was Cameron Sims a 94 before? I thought he was 92-93.

Sims was rated a 94 in May. Not sure why they show him being rerated at a 94 again...

Some rankings I found notable, not necessarily LSU related:

Never heard of David Sharpe before, now he's #9 overall.

Clifton Garrett at 13, quite high

Noil's rise, Paris' drop which was expected

Bessent's rise to 39- hmm I wonder what happened there

Sony Michel at 47- Shocking, I don't know why he dropped so much

Clapp at 208 and 242 composite

Deshone Kizer just sneaking in the top 247

They have tied rankings now? Why exactly?

bessner just committed to bama. not hard to explain. a&m in sec, so 247 knocking them sown.

Can't believe Michel dropped that Much. He and LF are easily the top 2 backs with LF being better IMO.

Sharpe's jump is crazy. He looks really good on film and he's a Bama, FSU, UF battle.

we had 2 drop (Scott was actually at 28 and dropped to 44) and 4 rise. The net effect was actually up 22 spots on average. Also, a couple of leans/targets made rather large jumps including Myles Garrett who went from like a 95 to 98, up to #2 in Texas and #21 overall.

So I don't think too many Ags are upset by the rerankings though I do see that some are upset Hoza isn't a 5* any more but whatever. He's exactly as good as he was yesterday and that's pretty damn good. Regardless, I don't think either of us are going to be disappointed in our class this year

I don't think this is unfortunate at all. I wouldn't want LSU to fade to 90s levels. College football is fun because of the big games. I went to school when we won pretty much all our games before the bowls (8-3-1, 10-1, 12-0, 10-1, 10-0-1). Frankly many of the games became boring and as Saban said, the result is either expected or bad. It's not as fun as it could be. We also weren't battle tested and kept losing bowl games (well and Slocum was a pretty horrible gameday coach so we rarely won close games).

I want LSU to be good. I want Bama to be good. I want the SEC to be good. It makes the games exciting and fun. I don't want to lose any game but the idea of going into a game and knowing it's going to be a badass game is what college football is all about to me. So I hope you sign great class after great class after great class. And I hope we kick your arse anyway

tmc94, what are you hearing about shorter. when will he commit? do you consider him an aggie lean?

I agree with you mostly. It is more fun when there are big games and I do want A&M to well. The first few years of the LSU A&M series in the 80's was great because both were good. However, I can't agree with this:

frick that, CFB is much more fun when they are down

There's plenty of other teams to pick up the slack.

everyone thought he was going to commit at our last junior day so there was definitely a vibe that he likes us a lot. However I would not consider him an Aggie lean at all at this point and I'm not even sure if we'd take his commit right now. I think we're trying to get him to hold off a bit on committing anywhere while we work 1-2 other targets. I sort of guessed LSU is doing the same but I don't know that. I'd say if he commits soon it would be LSU. But I honestly have no idea on his commit timetable.

Btw towards the topic, he got upgraded to a 92 (from a 90 I think)and #173 in the country from outside the top 247.

Well, if they do suck, I hope someone in the West picks it up. I'd like to have a 3-way race each year. It's that way on both sides last year and probably this (though someone may disappoint or surprise). I think that's pretty awesome because it creates just a ton of great CFB games.

btw, did anyone notice they had even more movement in the rankings? Myles Garrett is now #10 and the top player in Texas moving ahead of Tony Brown.

a 2 team race is just fine sparky

Seriously, I'd hate to have a 3 way tie like the Big XII did in 2008. If there was ever a 3 way tie with LSU, A&M and Bama, we all know how that would turn out
